Sywell Pistons and Props
Hello are there any plans for the club or a branch to do a display at Sywell Pistons and Props? http://www.sywellclassic.co.uk/home/4581770422 It looks a good show, and it's free to enter if you're in a club. I'd like to go, but want to find out if the club is going before I have to pay for tickets....

Re: Is it doable
My vote is for Portafolds. (http://www.portafold.co.uk). I only bought mine last summer and I love it. My 1969 Morris has drum brakes and a 1098 engine and she pulled it as if it wasn't there (and had three adult passengers!) You don't notice much additional fuel consumption as when folded it has li...

Re: Want to be a TV Star this Friday
I too work at the Beeb, but I'm going to ignore all the negative comments. I didn't know this was happening otherwise I would have brought my lil Mog. Instead I was delighted to find Moggy minors parked outside the front door. Here's some pix of them arriving: https://www.flickr.com/photos/65576528@...

Morris Minor on an Ecard
Hello! I was searching for animated ecards to send to my husband (bored at work...you probably know the feeling) and found this one. How cool is this! http://www.jacquielawson.com/preview.asp?cont=1&hdn=1&pv=3355562&path=98301 At the end, you click 'learn about the cars' and you can read...

Re: Classic Car Hire In Jersey?
Those are the two links I tried, but they didn't seem to have much information. Didn't look like a normal car hire website, or at least not something I would expect, so I'd thought I'd check for a recommendation - don't want to arrive and there be no car! Thanks I'll PM the Jersey member you mention...

I work for the BBC as a Studio Manager at World Service. Before that I was a radio producer for LBC 97.3. My moggy was a regular feature! I was quite smug when I nicked Chris Evans' parking space outside Radio 2 yesterday Well, Mog looked better than his Aston Martin!

Classic Car Hire In Jersey?
Hello I wondered if anyone could recommend a classic car hire firm in Jersey? My family and I would like to go, and would love to take the Traveller, but the cost of the ferries is astronomical! It's only £25 each way for a flight, but the ferry is £350. It just seems a bit extravagant, especially a...

Re: NEC CLASSIC SHOW cupa ?
I park in the NEC station car park - I think it's only £5 all day, it's under cover, with a covered walkway all the way to the halls, and its actually a lot closer - great if you're carrying loads of goodies on the way back. Looking forward to seeing what the MMOC club stand comes up with this year!

European cover
Hi Our 1970 traveller and my brother's Trimph Spitfire are going on the Gapers Tour in Ypres, Belgium in April. Though the cars are well maintained and my dad is coming (he's a mechanic), we think it would be wise to take out european breakdown cover - just in case. Can anyone reccomend a company? A...

It seems to appear in the opening sequence, but haven't sat through the whole thing to see it if appears again - didn't quite expect it to be the vehicle of choice for old Lawrence.

Re: Am i wrong???
I use my mog everyday - used to be a trip all the way round the M25, but now its just a toodle up to the nearest tube station - about 5 miles. (oh, and the odd shopping trip). If I may, as I have been driving an old, and hard used moggie everyday for nearly 7 years now, can I venture some advice? He...

Re: london to brighton run 2010
I think it would be a great idea to have a L2B rally, but it would be bad to actually drive through central London. We stopped doing the London Bridges run for that reason! Too much traffic and cameras! Poor old mog got a ticket - for doing 16mph! (long story). Anyways, the London Marathon is also o...

h20 Mako - what type of paint did you use? Jenny is an everyday mog and I'm so worried that the paint would wear off - especially as I am married and wear rings. I must say, your steering wheel does look fantastic. So do I need some kind of glue to stick the white walls on? How do I stop them flappi...

Thanks for that - I'll show them to my dad (he'll be the one doing all the work). Hopefully these may be the solution - they're certainly not too dear. I'm also looking into getting the steering wheel sprayed white and hardened. So far I've had a quote for £125 - didn't think that was too bad. I've ...

Radiator Stencil
Hi My dad wants the stencil that you use on top of the radiator - you know, the one that warns you about opening the cap while its still hot. We've seen them on a few moggies, but can't seem to find them anymore. Anyone know where we could buy one? Or better yet, have you got one I could buy off you...

White Wall Tyres
Hello all, My mog Jenny is like a pheonix from ashes, having just survived yet another engine transplant! It's nice to get her back on the road again, but I have been thinking of doing a few cosmetic mods to zoop her up a bit. I really would love a set of white wall tyres - or at the very least the ...

GREAT MAY DAY TREASURE HUNT!!!
Hello all, Don't forget that the May Day Treasure Hunt is nearly here! We have quite a variety of lovely classics already coming, but the Morris Minors are quite poorly represented! So make this the first major event of the year! It's a 2 hour jaunt around wonderful countryside - plenty of family fu...
