Re: Watlings Towbar for a Traveller

I agree totally. I've towed trailers and caravans for years so appreciate the safety aspects come before aesthetics. However I've seen quite a few towbars on Travellers where the plate is in it's original position which is my preference. I spoke to Watling's but they cannot tell me what you have to ...

Watlings Towbar for a Traveller

I want to buy a towbar for my Traveller. I've seen that Watlings do one but have no idea what it looks like. Has anyone had experience of fitting a Watlings towbar? I want to keep the rear number plate in its original position....don't want to mount it on the rear door! I've also seen that Charles W...

Jepsons plates are very good and have the correct look. Not cheap but very good.

Charles Ware Memorial Rally July 2016

I noticed in the latest Minor Matters a note in the diary for Charles Ware Memorial Rally in Bath in July.
The website address is incomplete but wondered if anyone has any details?
Thanks.

Re: Want to be a TV Star this Friday

Re: Minor in new M&S advertising campaign

The Bath branch have a huge poster in their main window featuring the Morris. Wonder if I can get my hands on it once they have finished with it.....quite like the look of Rita Ora sat in the boot!

Re: Cylinder head advice

I guess it depends why it was done. Its not uncommon for the cylinder head gaskets to blow however it would be good to have a receipt or more details as to what was actually done. Was the head replaced or refurbished as part of the change etc. I'd ask plenty of questions and take someone with you wh...

Re: New arrival

I also have a 68 Traveller and 47 Series E! The best club for the SE is the Morris Register. Found them very helpful with advice. I am in the process of sympathetically restoring my SE. Parts are expensive compared to the Minor as not much is reproduced. I have found that you either buy good second ...

Re: Autumn Classic Photographs

Doesn't matter whether the pics are cheap, expensive, or indifferent when they're not online! Totally agree!! They have links to a lot of other events so why not this one? It's now Thursday evening and they are still not on the website so it seems the club was spun a line about them being available...

Re: Where do YOU the members think the National rally should be

When I started this post I knew it would get some varied lively responses and there's nothing wrong with that, but back to the question in hand ' Where do You the members think the national should be' personally I would like to see an annual list of SUITABLE, cost effective locations throughout the...

Re: New or Original?

I prefer original where sensible, it doesn't seem to be the majority view though. Rallies are full of highly restored shiny cars. I disagree. The events I attend always have a cross section of cars in varying states. It's nice to see original non-restored cars as well as the beautifully kept restor...

Re: NEC CLASSIC MOTOR SHOW 2013

Maybe just my opinion but I don't think its bad value considering what other "attractions" cost nowadays. If last years show is anything to go by, it's a fantastic event with loads to see and all undercover so no issues with the British climate affecting it! We couldn't get around everythi...

Re: Where to find parts?

I always collect my parts from Andy Eggleton. As mentioned previosuly, he lives in Bradford on Avon so it is very convenient as I live in Trowbridge. He is always willing to do this as long as you can give him some notice that you will be calling. If he doesnt have a particular part in stock, he can...
