Re: Everything that worried us re new Mot

The vehicle is exempt from MOT but the driver remains responsible for keeping it roadworthy as all other drivers are....MOT or not Im sure there are thousands of modern cars out there that could be stopped, ...

If stapling I recommend using corrosion resistant 'monel metal'staples in your staple gun...these are cupro nickel.

Im fairly sure the trims were stapled at the Morris factory..

Re: Rear Spring Hanger Cover Plate

Yes Rob Get your name cut into the side in case you lend it out and theres a query over who owns it! Are you using Ground Stock for the flat bars? The key thing with the jig is to be very careful when welding it to keep it all square and in alignment, I also used bronze where the pins are fitted so ...

Re: Phasing out petrol and diesel vehicles

There is no suggestion at present to stop the use of existing petrol or diesel etc vehicles being used on the roads... the proposed ban only applies to new vehicles built/sold in 2040 and also does not ban hybrid vehicles at present. As all Morris minors have already been made it seems to me they wi...

Above is good advice.. Is that the point above the centreline of the rear axle? in which case once you have repaired the floor panel you will need to replace the bump stop plate which goes underneath: http://www.morrisminorspares.com/body-inc-panels-trim-c21/panels-c31/rear-bump-stop-bracket-top-lmc...
