Re: Bike Engined Minor
Alex, I can't work out what class that is. It looks a bit like FA/ICA, but I suppose it could also be Formula Blue. Looking through the videos - a car with a bike engine just doesn't have the same charm. Hmm, what is the lightest engine available at the moment with the greatest amount of power/torqu...

Bike Engined Minor
Has it been done before?
I can't help but think it'd make the most awesome modded Minor.
Perhaps something for me to look into after University and paying off my student debt (of over £35,000) ;)
It'd be pretty complicated though I'm sure. Gearbox, reverse gear, driveshaft..?

MarkyB, i have not once said i'm the best driver in the world. In fact, after becoming seeded 4th in the UK in only my 3rd seson of racing, i still consider myself to have a HUGE amount to learn. There is no way i'm the best driver in the world, i wasn't even the best driver in my class this year, h...

Cheers Andy, that's nice information to have. Thank you :) Bmc, i've thought about plenty of other cars (Mini, Escort MK2, VW Lupo etc) but i've always come back to the idea of the Minor. I don't know what it is, but I just find the idea of owning one a lot more attractive than any of the other sugg...

Hi Jonathan, season didn't go too badly thanks! It was my first seson racing at national level, and we finished 4th in the championship (1st of the 'newbies' (in the same class Jenson Button, David Coulthard etc used to race!) which wasn't too bad for our first year. ;) NNA is going great, it's rece...

Thing is, i want the car to be ready to take a more powerful engine later on in life when i'll be able to insure the damn thing! And doing the chassis mods in the first place seems like the right thing to do to me, even if i keep the 1098 in it. I want the car to be ready to drive for when i'm 17 re...

Mods as a 17 year old...?
Ever since my dad got his K-Series Traveller i've always wanted something similar for myself as my first car. I think i've settled on the basic details, late 2 dr Saloon (sorta '67 onwards) in Snowberry White or Trafalgar Blue, but now i'm starting to wonder what mods i'll be able to install without...

(It was our first K series) rather than our first build :D  My bad :D And yeah, it's going great. Just a shame we can't take it out much at the moment, with the weather and all. Man how i'd love a Zetec Minor... :P And Alex, i'm sure a 1098 is okay, i think i'd enjoy being able to cruise at 7...

Been coming on here for a month or two - since my dad bought a Traveller; some of you may know of it, it's the first car JLH ever made (NNA 137W). And actually, i'm very interested in Minors. The only problem for me is deciding what sort of car to buy, if i do buy one in the end. I think i've settle...
