in the pic with the oil pump in it looks like you removed
the top scroll seal cap and put a new gasket in
did you ?
if so did you set it up propley
it must be centered on the crank
not just bolted on

Hi change the cam follower with pitting on the face the casehardening is starting to wear through as for the thrust washers on the rocker shaft just turn them round so you get a new wear face you will find http://www.minispares.com/ much cheaper than most and if you join the mini forum for a fiver y...

Hi
use plus gas on the studs
NOT WD40
remove the nuts first and soke over night
be very careful its very easy to snap the studs
you can also heat up the ally housing around the studs
with a blow tourch and soke with plus gas again
lots of pople come to grief on this job

put some dish washer tabs in the rad and run for 3 or 4 days
then drain and refill

Hi My daughter has broken down in France She is about 60k from the tunnel on her way to Munich Germany one of the rear brake pipes is leaking its about 3 months old so I think it just needs a re flare a recovery truck is on the way to her but she does not speak French we probably need a translator c...

the Op has 160 psi compression
thats quite good
I have fitted cord rings on new reboard and rerung pistions
on 3 motors 1275 with no problems at all

I would be looking at the valve stem seals
