Nice easy job using basic tools make sure to tighten the housing up evenly and for the little amount they cost i would get a spare gasket I learned the hard way that tightening the housing unevenly ended braking it and over tightening the bolts lead to a broken gasket nothing worst than waiting anot...

Thanks for the reply i did think about doing this but my concern was the system being under pressure for long periods of time. My car was only un used for 3 months between working fine and being stuck

Thanks for replying. Car runs the same with the hose clamped. Piston goes up and down fine and dash pot has right oil in it. I pulled the plugs and they are completely black as is the exhaust pipe so obviously very rich. Tried to adjust the mixture but has only made the car worse. Now the car no lon...

Have converted my car over to the marina engine and running gear have fitted a marina pedal box and I am using the marina brake servo.... Well my plan is to remove the box and have the wires running up under the dash to clean up the engine bay I've got the marina peddle box in my car which makes space for the contact box etc limited. also the box is damaged so if I can get rid of it the better.

Doing away with the contact box
Iv now got an alternator on my car and was wondering if that means I can do away with the contact box and how I would go about doing it. Does anyone have any diagrams for this job?

Oh ok then guess il give the high lift rockers a miss. I think the engine builds gonna be big valve head, fast road cam better flowing manifold and a webber carb. That should give me a bit more poke I hope.

Excellent as far as the Cam shaft in concerned would I need new higher lifting rocker ATMs or will I be able to get away with the standard ones? Had a read through a mini magazine and they had these for sale thought obviously serve some purpose....

the problems with my car arnt to extreme idol is rough... timings well out and carb needs tuning... it dosn't drive has what would apear to be a fule starvation problem... under acceloration coughs and splutters like it cant give the engine the fuel it needs and then you have to come off the peddle ...

im aware of the procedure for getting the car timed up. what im saying is the timing i believe is supposed to be 11 degrees btdc which is at aprox 12 oclock were the notch in the crank pully is is at about 9 oclock hence me saing its about 90 degrees before where it should be. the mixture does need ...
