Re: Morris minor XUR 19
Theres truth in that however its not right that extra requirements were added between refused applications. The MOT and import duty conditions should have been mentioned with the first refusal bearing in mind the average 4-5 week turnaround to process an application. The fact that I had included my ph...

Re: Morris minor XUR 19
Having spent since last september having been through the same scenario let me wish you good luck!I stupidly bought a Volvo that had been in long term storage and had no documents ignorantly assuming it would simply be a matter of filling in a form and getting a new V5.Big mistake! As others have sai...

Re: project restoration...
Certain of them they insist are originals.Just sent them all off again for the fourth time.I obviously cant complain if I made a mistake which I did on the first application.I never realised(as I hadnt done it before)that because I couldnt produce an old V5 or tax disc that I couldnt keep the origin...

I hope youre right but cant see why they would bother for nothing. There are a lot of measurements and odd shapes there.

Re: Convertible Hood - 1951 MM
I doubt this forum would be the right place to help you.Even the companies that make the hoods dont use measurements, they have templates and copy them.May stand a better chance contacting these companies direct but I don't hold out much hope of a result.I would either look for another convertible in...

Re: Polishing/waxing 2k paint
Nothing special about the type of paint as far as which polish to use.Whatever floats your boat. There are some fantastic claims made by clever companies to get your money.

Re: project restoration...
Well good luck!I bought a 1973 Volvo P1800 in september that had been off the road since the eighties.Still has its original number plates.DVLA has lost all its records!Although old reg isnt allocated I cant use it and had to apply for an age related plate.Part of the conditions are that it has to h...

Bit of an understatement there.Youre sending an intermittent voltage from the flasher unit to an electromagnet on the trafficator.

Well OP said the owner paid £3200 for it but not how much he now wants for it.He may have paid that 20 years ago and left it outside since then.

Re: Convertible advice
All depends on the price of course. If its dead cheap(and a genuine convertible not a conversion) and you make the time to do the welding yourself(and lets face it unless youre a cr*p welder youre gonna put a lot more care into the job than the bloke doing it for money),then its probably a good proje...
