My first guess is a problem with the washer pump itself ( could be on its way out ) and putting a good 12v across it to operate it has turned the armature past its "bad bit" or " sticky bit" and now it seems OK . Many thanks... Looks like I had it back to front...I thought it would duct the warm/hot air downwards to the flap , for foot warming,and with the flap closed air would be forced through the demisters... but now I know better.. Is there any other easy way to stop the internal heating giving preferenc...

Just as an aside ( I'm about to do the same job myself ) , what is the standard spec of oil for the front dampers ? and why us heavier/lighter oil than standard..
I take it will be lighter to give a smoother ride ?

Any tips for putting in the window trims?

If you're talking about the touch-glass seals , I used long nose fine pliers to hold them in place and a thin spatula to insert them..

There are many permutations but on the majority of servos,the final connecting piece to the servo Vacuum can is a non-return valve and on others it isn't , some have in-line valves.

Not been doing the springs , still busy rebuilding / modifying the gearbox , but made this a while ago to fit the different grinders I have...looks like it's made for the job , two pin sizes and adjustable.....and I've not patented it.
