Not slagging off the police but surely you can refuse the fine and go to court ... explain to the learned chap on the bench ( he's probably got a Traveller anyway ) and walk away scot free...

Re: What is the RIGHT speedometer

You're not far off..

4.55 : 4.22 is 8%

1504 : 1376 is 9%

John ;-)

Edit.

But ideally you should start from measuring the indicated mile/speed against the actual mile/speed with a satnav ( or whatever )...

Re: What is the RIGHT speedometer

Sorry Phil , I respect you , but , how can it ?
If the wheel/tyre sizes are the same , for a given road speed the gearbox output shaft ( and prop ) , will be spinning at different rpm's for different diffs?

Surely...

Re: What is the RIGHT speedometer

" So the speedo cable entering the back of the speedo will be rotating at the same rpm whether it be a 4.55 or 4.22 diff. "

For the same road speed?

Re: Petrol sender unit

Yes, that's the stuff , comes in different thicknesses , but 1.5mm should do fine , the only other thing you need is a craft knife/scalpel.

Re: Low Air flow From heater to screen outlets

If it's a Plus2,it could be the seals or positioning of the heater flaps in the heater box or even the tubes to the dash vents partially blocked or loose..

John ;-)

05:53.
EDIT Sorry wrong Forum,I thought it was the Lotus forum..

What type of heater do you have ? Check the tubes to the dash vents..

Re: Larger capacity fuel tank ( Saloon )

Just been on to the phone to them , capacity 6.5 galls , and is intended for the split-screen models... so no extra capacity for the later models... Larger capacity fuel tank ( Saloon )

Am I dreaming, or did I recently see a post about a larger capacity fuel tank that allows the spare to be fitted in the usual place... ( apart from mine... )

Have searched for 20 minutes plus..

Thanks
