Re: Member - Non Member Field

As I mentioned before, I am a paid up member and shown as such, If I was unscrupulous I "could" create numerous false accounts, begin my post count and then advertise desirable parts for sale, then take the money and run. Whereas if the forum was for paid up members only or had a members only sectio...

Who were they ordered from?
A look on their website may reveal which vehicles they provide parts for.

Re: STATEMENT BY THE DIRECTORS OF THE MMOC ON THE COVID-19/CORONA VIRUS PANDEMIC

If the member - non member information is not kept up to date there is absolutely no need for the line entry. Incorrect information is worse than no information. Phil It does seem a bit daft being able to opt in or out, surely a paid up member should automatically be listed as such and the same for...

Re: Rear inner wing flange removal

I appreciate this is an old thread but on searching it seemed to be the same question I have. My next job on the list is the rear wing flanges, I have ordered the two piece repair panels but looking at what I will call the "spot weld seam" it also appears to be rusted in places. The question is can ...

Re: STATEMENT BY THE DIRECTORS OF THE MMOC ON THE COVID-19/CORONA VIRUS PANDEMIC

Will the club be waving the membership money for this year ? Why would the club waive the membership fee? I don't attend club rallies and meetings for various reasons but I still feel I get more than my monies worth from the club. In times such as these its the membership fees that keep clubs going...

Re: Wheely idle speculation!

Red usually means danger, I wonder if its a low oil pressure light.
When I used to autotest in my old mini I used to have a big red light almost immediately in front of my steering wheel which was a low oil pressure light.

Re: Wanted a roof light box

I think I saw an other post elsewhere referring to a Police Roof Light box.

To respond to the question:
I would have thought it would be fairly straightforward for a sign company to make a box up to a given drawing or photograph.

Re: Rear damper link mounting

I would imagine that a bolt and washer of suitable size and strength would be OK... Alternatively, perhaps you could grind down a bit of the stub and weld a suitable bolt onto it, grinding the bolt head/weld so that it is of the same roundness/circumference as the stub. I may give that a go rather ...

Re: Rear damper link mounting

I've just been pondering, the stud which holds the damper bar is still in place its just the threaded end that has sheared off, would I be able to drill and tap the remaining stud to take a bolt? I think the bolt is only there to stop the link bar from slipping off the stud so wouldn't really have a...

Re: "Gracie" Dove grey 1965 2 door saloon.

So as you can see there is plenty of rust to be dealt with, I honestly think Gracie has been dragged from a field, the rust holes have ben bodged and made to look nice with a coat of paint, when in reality she is rotten. Buyers beware, I'm just glad I didn't spend any money buying Gracie I would hav...

I suppose I had better keep this thread updated as I go along. Re: Rear damper link mounting

Mike

It's the shock absorber top mounting that I have sheared, the spring mounts "seem" to be in good condition, but I have yet to get in from above and check, so that could be another story.

Dermot.

Re: Rear damper link mounting

It's typical, the actual spring hanger and box section is solid on that side, whereas the other side is rotten.

Oh well at least I know it will be right once I've done.

Thanks Phil.

Dermot.
