Re: New Engine & Box

Hi I think you may have to fit a 6mm spacer between the main box and the extension tube. Measure the posistion of the gear selectors on both boxes with the extension tube off, and compare. I have a 1098 box fitted with a long gear stick. With the long gear gear stick extension fitted, without gear s...

Hi all
Thanks for all the very good info about VS.this side sorted out.
It looks like I have a miss matched gauge and sensor.

water temp gauge

I am trying to fit a water temp gauge, when conected and the engine temp is 80c the gauge only moves a small amount, at 90c it does not move much more. When the sender cable is connected to earth the gauge shows hot. At 20c the sender reads 1000 ohms, at 80c 70 ohms. All the readings are the same, i...

what a wonderfull find.
My fatherinlaw had a old ford pop, without heater. He stuck a pipe up against the top of the rad, and run it into the car. He then had a heater, well nearly.

I removed the existing cover set screw, and fitted a 5/16" UNF x 2" set screw from behind, and then fitted a nut and spring washer to secure the cover, long series socket helps. then just used 2 nuts and washers to secure the flat bar. Bend up the end of the flat bar to follow the radius of the pull...

dizzy info

Thanks for all the previous general info. Whats the differance between 25D and 45D dizzys, I obtained a ALDON electronic ignition, cheap, for a 45D, it fits my 1098 and appears to work ok. If you set the static timing at 5 degrees BTDC what would expect the strobe timing to be at tick over, and what...

I obtained a Aldon igniter electronic ignition, to suit a D45. but then of course fitted it to a D25 on my 1098, as you do, it works ok, but I am not getting much advance, going to check...
