It was a lot easier putting them back in .with a little help and a bearing press . I marked where the sections met with tape and where the grade nipple was

Managed to pop the new joints in the prop today . I say pop in but it was a little tricky getting them out

And paint striped the number plates , with real paint stripper , not nitro***** .
Etched them and primed and painted them with Matt lacquer, and painstakingly cleaned up each letter and painted them gloss white .

Last week I managed to have a look at the windscreen wiper unit , seems to be in ok condition , I removed the main cover of the gears , removed all the old grease inside it and cleaned the gears up and re greased them , painted the cover .the gears and cables seem to run freely. I fitted my near side flitch by removing the pillers and joining the flitch inside the piller box section . Under the cover panel , as I wasn’t keen on fully removing the main door piller . Looks like a great little project you have there , unlike me ,you have plenty of time to work on it , you’ll have it all done before you know it , remember safety first , plenty of measurements and if your unsure always ask and also enjoy yourself learning new skills , good luck in your Morris quest

Iv read the article about wheel sizes but I can’t make sense of it . I’m looking at mini light wheels 13” x5 with a pcd of 101.6mm including 3/8 wheel nuts on eBay . Will these fit my 1956 split screen?

It looks correct, but be aware that the early cylinders were different from the later ones, so a part number and/or dimensions would be useful. If we can't be 100% certain then buy the correct part from a trusted supplier. If they are the same then a spare is always useful, if they are different th...
