Re: Moggie insurance - 19 Years old?!

ive been with FJ since i started driving aged 18 in 2007,they do a young classic drivers scheme for any car over 15 years old that you are a member of the club, again, around the £400 mark, but that has dropped a lot for me since then!
i have unlimited mileage on mine,it was only another £30 :D

Re: reflective number plates, when were they first used?

Re: MOT Fail

if the car was needed to be motd in a hurry that could all be done in an afternoon, the gaiter can be araldited back together so long as its just split and not falling off,splitpins-fit a pair, and adjust the brakes.not bad really tho :)

Re: New electronic ignition kit for £21

right, ive now done around 200 miles with the kit fitted, and from my calculations my fuel economy is now around the 42-43mpg mark, based on the method of brimming the tank untill the nozzle clicks, doing 100 miles, then refilling. This is without a doubt the best mpg ive had on a minor,my previous ones o...

Re: Don't do it!

if you do a lot of miles then for the space it would take up its worth having a spare, you might find you are better off with an original 60s pump thats got good contacts, stuff was better made then, all my minors have had the original pumps fitted, after being laid up for 4 years i had to give my first...

i think they might have been ***** you know  Ive now done a few miles with the Kit,starting from cold was quicker,it only took a couple of turns over before, this time it started on what seemed like a quarter turn of the key! Re: New electronic ignition kit for £21

its made out of a better plastic and fits better on the rotor arm, unlike the utter rubbish that was sold to me from a Minor specialist, was rusty out the packet and shorted out.i know im not allowed to say who but there was a field full of cows next door, looking at a Minor bonnet badge   i...

Re: What mileage do we do a year in mogs

i drive to my girlfriends place in Aldershot(140 miles each way) every week or 2 weeks,as well as general running around,so i will probably average 10-12000 miles a year in the Mog,i dont see the problem,if something breaks i fix it and carry on! :D

Re: New electronic ignition kit for £21

later Reliant 3 wheelers can achieve a lot more than that,i think the highest in an economy run was 103mpg from a standard 700c Regal saloon.
Anyway ive fitted the lovely kit to the dizzy and shall try it tomorrow :D

Re: New electronic ignition kit for £21

in my personal view based on Reliants, four and three wheeled, they are fantastic and the claims are justified.
I will be fitting it tonight then slipping the dizzy in tomorrow morning.i will report back with what happens.

Re: New electronic ignition kit for £21

can i just say a few things based on my own experience of using these kits, albeit on Reliants but they still have an SU carb and 45d dizzy. These are not in the same league as lumenition,in my opinion and from what ive read on here, they are very poorly made, expensive for what they are and unreliable...
