Re: Parts needed for waterpump mounting on USHM3

I can re-use the original M8x1.0 bolts, but the drain is what I like to have as original as possible.
Not for cold weather, my garage has floor heating, and the car is only on the road when it is not freezing ;)

Re: Thread sizes

No, there is for sure NF stamped, not UNF on different taps....
And because the U is missing, and the tap is going by hand in a new 5/16 BSF nut, I wondered about it..
It are old taps ;)

Re: Thread sizes

I found some 5/16 NF taps between the BSF , but when I look at it, and tried it in the body, for the wing bolts, it goes by hand...
What is the difference between NF and BSF?

Looking at the price, lees than GBP 30, and no list of spare parts for it, it is only the job.

With this Post, I found out my original were in the box of spare parts, and the later type is mounted.
So I have to repair the original ones to put them back ;)

Re: Lost v5 need advice on registering

when you cannot get papers with the car, export him to NL. with any paper to check he is not stolen, or old registration, with a car older as 1960, it is just showing. When totally nothing is there, the car should be ready for the MOT, when passed, you get Dutch papers. With the Dutch papers go back...

I will see what is the condition.
What I understand, is the risk from a damaged engine.
But nobody can live without a little bit luck ;)

Re: Speedo

Did you open him?
Sometimes you are lucky, and can repair the old one.

When you look at another one, it is important to have the same as the original, so a picture from the front will help ;)

Re: Alta engine differences

Too Heavy for an envelope ;)
But what should be an acceptable price for an engine like this?
I promised the man to clean his store, a lot other (later) parts are in there.

I can get a garage clear out, with also a complete Alta engine and other Morris parts...
How interesting is it to change my original engine with this one?

Why steal an MM?
The real MM world is very small, an MM with history or without club history is a little difference.

Re: Set of new tyres that have been stored

The tyres from my MM were much older, and I was still driving with them the first weeks after finishing. These came out :[frame] http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php?src=1468139406_12584 [/frame] Anyone knows how old they are?[frame] http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php?src=1468139517_12584 [/frame] Some small ...

Do not forget the car position.
I have one station to fill my Prius, when I fill him going home, I can put maximal 54 Litre in the car, but when I go to the other direction, it is maximum 45 Litre ;)
Just because the street is not flat.

My job is in the agriculture automation, on my list are machines to deliver in the UK, Africa and Canada this summer. And also a short holiday in September nearby the auto jumble ;)
I have also some extra manuals and spare part lists on paper, original.

Re: Boot lids for MMs

My 1951 MM, with chassis no 122061 has the second catch and lid...
Because the backside from my car was complete rust free and never repaired by welding, it looks like the parts are original.
So end 1951 the first lid was already gone.
