Re: Any ideas for floor reinforcement?

Looking at the state of the chassis rail and sill section the floor is your last ,and lesser problem, Before you go patching consider..... The main strength in a minor frame is the chassis rails and complete sill sections, yours look shot,I would think you need to have a good prod about the whole len...

Re: No problem starting, but can’t stop!

Do u touch th...

Re: Tiny brakes

Even worse when you have to fix a "modern" compared to a Minor ....
Yes indeed, the last three moderns I've had and needing rear discs, also needed (NOT NEEDED) rear hubs and bearings because the disc comes as part of the hub, ridiculous and extremely wastful.

Re: Robust Primer Protection ?

nothing on the top, except rust converter such as q rust ,there are many others, will slow down the rusting, primer will do nothing except hide it and let the rust eat away from the inside, get rid of as much surface rust as you can,put converter on top and prime on top. It may hold a proper repair off ...

The beauty of cellulose is that however badly it goes on there is usually some way of saving it! The problem with celly is that however good it goes on it still needs loads of work after to make it LOOK good :D The quality of So called Premium thinner is very poor compared to the celly of old,When ...

Re: Still Struggling...

The op has thrown a fault at us,And the fuel supply was the first suggestion, the next logical question ,was on Idling for a while does it now rev and run for a short while before the fault recurrs, which would definitely indicate a fuel supply fault ,pump or carb . The OP has not replied and there i...

sound like fuel supply problem,You need to check the petrol flow from pump to carb, not sure if the marina engine had a mechanical ,or eletrical pump. where does the pipe from carb to pump go,photo would help before further advice comes along .

As described many times before by the long departed .BMC ECCOSS Slacken the dizzy clamp bolt so that it just holds but can be turned (Just) by hand. Take the car out and drive it,advance the timing untill on hard acceleration or a moderate uphill ,the engine pinks, stop , and progressively retard the...

Re: Claiming on insurance for damage caused by garage

cant see the insurance company being remotely interested, nor the police its a strsight case of bad workmanship, and therefore a civil dispute between you and the garage , since they have done a runner ,by the look of it ,that looks unlikely to proceed unless you can trace the owner. Far too many cowb...

Re: Priming Fibreglass for 2 Pack?

don't use the etch primer causes all sorts of problems on grp.just flat the panel and use basic primer,2 pack if you have it,it dosent sink into body filler ,like celly does ,causeing rings round any repaired areas.,just make sure the gel coat is well flatted to give a sound base for the primer.
