Should have a wooden "packing" piece separating the metal. Late stuff had the metal to metal affixed by 1 self-tapper. Soooo...many areas to cover in the tombe. Top man,never knew that. Just had a look at UXH,and the wood packing is there. I'll take a pic. Don't suppose your book will be ...

i have seen in several pictures that the tax disc is positioned on the left of the windscreen in a holder. the motor industry heritage trust sells a metal holder and replica discs from whatever year you want. the holder mounts with a screw but i have no idea where it screws in or into what it screw...
