Re: Fuse rating (inline fuse)

Earlier cars ie my 1957, did not have the separate fuse for the lights. Everything fused goes through the 35 A fuses.

[quote="King Kenny" post_id=691817 time=1692107349 user_id=13200] Excuse the Mrs in her youth. This is my Traveller in around 1882. I had just fitted green corduroy panel covers. You can see the original cover board. although it may be upside down. It was a piece of hardboard with a folded...

Thanks to Colin Canter for these additional images from inside Saffron Walden Motors. Gary Seaman with his now dry and very beautiful K registration Austin-badged Minor Van. All those panels are available. Nothing is beyond saving providing you have time, patience and a budget. I have seen much worse than that.

Re: Zebra crossings

The legislation sits in the Zebra Pedestrian Crossings Regs of 1971. Useful for dating photos pre and post although there was a lag when installing the zig zag lines for the crossings. It introduced the concept of a 'zebra controlled area' denoted by the zig zag lines. The previous legislation was P...

AMMF rally in the Auvergne

A brief report from one day on the AMMF rally in. the Auvergne. 'This morning's jaunt was probably the best of any Morris Minor foreign tour EVER. Chris and Mary Hall arranged for us to go to the nearby racing circuit of La Charade, formerly used to host 4 French Grands Prix, Now curtailed from its ...

Re: Fitting an aluminium GB plate to car

I got a bracket made up consisting of a shaped 'T' with the main oval the same size as the plate which is epoxy'd to the bracket and it uses the two central bumper bolts as fittings. I am still not sure the UK looks right on the Minor and would prefer a GB but such is life.

Re: French Low Emisson Zones

Mary has replied in her usual helpful, friendly and efficient manner. ZFE : Zone à Faibles Emissions = Low Emissions Zone Véhicules de Collection is the French term for classic vehicles, it includes any classic car registered in the UK with 'Historic' mentioned on the V5. Morris Minors or other clas...

Re: French Low Emisson Zones

Why not address the question to Mary Hall who leads the Amicale Morris Minor France. Unfailingly helpful, she will no doubt have the information at her fingertips. I am surprised that the issue has apparently not been addressed by those organising the 2023 trip.

Re: I want to see clearly now

Beaulieu autojumble had still-boxed new old stock wiper blades a-plenty last year. I don't know if the dealers do on-line sales but it is worth a deeper search than the usual Minor parts suppliers or 'pop' down to the up-coming Beaulieu auto jumble and `moggyfes't too.

I have a similar garage and bought a Carcoon to go inside. It is a drive-in version so unzips at the end (and sides if necessary.) Like you, No electricity so I mounted a small PV panel on the roof which charges a battery and powers the small fans in the carcoon. Dry and moisture free, albeit not ch...
