An open message to the MMOC Committee.... The Message Boards existing rules have allowed this unsatisfactory situation to develop. [Redacted] The Club Committee should be more supportive of those that actually contribute to the good name and furtherance of the club on this message board. I have quit...

Re: WHW 239H, Minor History is hard to come by! (Any help welcome!)
It seems the DVLA have tightened up much more since I got my car's history 4 years ago. They changed changed the criteria in 2019. So Donald has now missed the boat as it were.... In 2017, as Mike said above, they sent me copies of the past Registration documents, but with the name address re...

Re: Heater output !
Personally I have no problems with heater output, aside from the fact that my heater is an after-market Tudor model, it's a standard SII plumbing.

There's a lot of options... speaking generally on the matter rather that Minor specifics, ... Some TREs have a couple of flats that you can get a spanner on. Sometimes a pair of needle nose pliers will do the job, Sometimes a 'gentle/medium' tap with a hammer will wedge it in enough to let it grip, ...

Saw a new car recently, what I thought were foglights lit depending on the way it turned, turned left, the left-hand foglight came on... Ideal for Range Rover/Audi/BMW driver's.🤣 Yep, the really annoying 'turning a corner lights'; on some cars they seem to operate even on a slight turn of the steer...

Would soaking it in duck oil do the trick? I'm not sure. I don't use it myself and I think it's more of a Penetrating Oil and Damp Start, Insulator type product. Whereas Contact Cleaners are designed to clean the electrical contacts of oil, dirt and general grime, some can even be used with power a...

Parking's Practically A Crime (1958)
An interesting and amusing short film.
Parking in London during the late 50s, including outside schools etc. Police with bunches of keys....
Several Minors featured.

Berni, thanks for this but as a former police officer I never stooped to the level of charging anyone with those offences :D I do have a parking light on my car, but it’s not working (I suspect it needs wired). But you're from more recent times, back in the 40s/50s, when you would have been o...

Also a plastic pipe cutter for your hoses, keeps the cuts neat and straight: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261524911255?epid=1754694506&hash=item3ce4197497:g:1tYAAOSwHXxfeug- Capacity 36mm :-? I guess that would just about fit a Minor Bottom Hose. Nice thought, I've never seen those before. I alwa...

Can anyone tell me if the original can be bought anywhere? It's a simple sliding panel switch, a quick internet search for Mini Slide Switch will reveal loads, including ebay. You'll need to measure the spacing of the mounting holes and purchase the correct size accordingly, because manufacturers w...

Re: front shock absorber
My engineering opinion, without looking at the internals, is no they can't. Although we are talking the engineering of a bygone era in many ways, I'm sure that even back then, if it was practical to use common components, the manufacturer would. Manufacturing costs mattered so why would Armstrong go...

To Clarify what JJ said, it's the User Control Panel (on the top right corner) and then the Profile Tab. It's not the 'Profile' link as that takes you to your public profile.
The User Control Panel is also where you can set your signature details, i.e. add an image at the bottom of your posts etc.

That depends where you are: https://www.esso.co.uk/en-gb/fuels/petrol Very good point. I'd forgotten that this didn't apply to all parts of the country. Thank you. Yes, the areas are a bit generic. They start off with 2 counties and very rapidly they've got to a whole country. And where are ...
