lowlight / early highlight quarterlight for sale

Just found in my shed a nearside quarterlight with the early pin type top hinge. Bit strange as it is stainless steel rather than chrome plated and it has a cut down version of the later quarterlight catch.If it is of use to anyone you can have it for £15 plus post. Had a closer look at the engine today and the pistons fitted are plus 60. There is no sump,oil pump or oil filter housing.I have given the head a light clean and that looks ok.

USHM3 engine for rebuild

I picked up a late MM engine today that has been stored for several years. There is no sump.
For sale for reconditioning for £100 complete with cylinder head and water jacket , or if these are not required then £50.

I have found that even new old stock boxed ones that have been sitting on the shelf since the 1950s often do not work. Is there anyone out there in the club who knows how to overhaul regulators or has the means of testing them?

My laptop has just run out of waranty and sudenly it is not typing double leters or numbers (as you can se from this uncorected sentence) and doing al sorts of weird things plus going very slow. Its definitely 12G193 and it takes standard 1098 valves. Sometimes I have found numbers cast on BMC parts is one different to actual part number but not found this with cylinder heads as with the 12H295 head we also have in stock.

Identification of cylinder heads

Amongst the cylinder heads we have in the club stocks we have a new old stock head which appears to be a 1098 but has the part number 12G193. i cannot find this number in any A series parts list I have. Can anyone help identify it?

My second Minor was a late 1970 Almond green 2dr saloon , FLL168J. an ex London car as yours would have been. Bought in 1973 when at Norwich City College and last seen many years ago ( c 1982) in Medlars scrapyard.
