Another breather problem
Having followed jagnuts question, I have my own. I have run my set up for over a year with the pipe from the HS4 carb connected to the rocker cover pipe, see attached pics, with no problems or oil leaks. The oil cap is not ventilated. As it works, should I just leave it? , or could I connect the car...

Re: longer choke cable
I heard somewhere that an MGA choke cable will do the job, but you would need to check.

Wheel Nuts for Minator Alloys
I purchased the Minator wheels recently advertised here, and wish to purchase the correct wheel nuts. I believe the wheels have a 60 degree taper? These nuts advertised for a classic mini seem to be the ones at a good price: https://www.minisport.com/min5dn-chrome-wheel-nuts-for-minator-ultralite-an...

Brake pipe clamping
I am going to be attending to my sticking front brake cylinder(s) when the replacement rubbers turn up. I would rather not clamp the rubber brake pipe. What is the best method to prevent loss of brake fluid?

Rear Hub Oil Seal
Just done this job as oil was leaking out of the drain hole. Expected the drum to be contaminated but it was all dry :) , bearing and seal came out without too much trouble. Inspecting the seal, the problem was clear, the complete lip is missing, presumably got brittle with age and snapped off. Test...

Should also mention that WD40 is NOT penetrating/releasing oil. You need something like Plusgas.

Re: Electronic ignition
You always get about 10% who go on about how bad it is when in reality, it's those that dont try it have an opinion on it. I liken that to people who dont like something just because they have a mate who said so. We've all got a few of those This sounds like unsubstantiated nonsense, can you back t...

Re: Electronic ignition
I have no problem with upgrading my Morris, but not to the point of making it more complex, as surely the joy of an everyday classic is its simplicity. For example I have fitted Riley 1.5 front brakes and a larger SU carburettor. You may want a more sophisticated ignition system if you are building ...

Pinking occurs when the timing is over advanced, not retarded.

Pump is switched on with ignition switch. You should hear it start ticking when you turn the key.
