If the new springs were indeed new(Fitted mine about 5 years ago still good)Can't see how they settled to the Right shape and hit the rail again clearly not the right set up since they didn't hit the rail when the car came off the line bra...

If you're really stuck and need the car on the road NOW, it's possible to solder wires direct to the bolb and sort it out properly later. Not recommending it, but if needs must... If its just the sprung bit that contacts the end of the bulb just do as above solder to bulb and to the sprung base. di...

Not clip on ones but I've seen some that where mounted through the chome on the bottom of the quarterlight, looked smart and according to the owner work as well as his modern cars ones. (No holes to drill in your lovely bodywork) I've seen these at tom roys looked very neat and very little mods to ...

used to use permobel, years ago to do a quick flash over because you knew that there would be no reaction with the paint underneath,But takes ages to go off and you get loads of dust and flys in it,and hard if not impossible to flat down.In thoughs days of bodge it and scarper, was involved in a back...
every one i've seen ,and the way i'm going to do it, is an angle iron accross the bumber irons with a supporting strap to the boot floor and the ball coming through a hole cut into the bumper. The only thing I'm not sure about is cutting a hole in a brand new bumper. Might try to weld up some sort o...
