Re: How many gauges have you???

Either side of the standard speedo in a widened dash I have a ammeter and a dual oil pressure/water temp gauge, and then a larger tacho set in the driver glovebox panel. Can't find a pic at the mo so a shameless plug  for this pic https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn2/980830_2...

Re: Traveller 60 at Gaydon.

To be honest I don't think they're that bad, considering a pro photog took them. One of the ones he took from the cherry picker was really superb - I'm going to use it as my screensaver across my triple-monitor setup!

Very, very well done! It's not a mag I take as a rule, but I'll definitely grab a copy just for this feature.

Re: Insurance outside garage

Fair point Dave. I'd simply thought that it was 'is generally garaged at home' rather than is 'garaged every single night its at home' - I dunno, maybe I've taken the engine out and am painting it in the garage so the Minor is relegated to the driveway. Anyway, I'll make sure it goes away regardless...

Re: Insurance outside garage

Well done Dave for finding a solution. You've pricked up my ears though, about driveway -v- garage. My Traveller is garaged, but I'll not ever put it away unless its completely dry - if I get home from a show and it's raining, the car will spend the night on the driveway, and possibly the next night...

Ummmm.... that'd be me then! Yup, details confirmed as Saturday 24th May - Saturday 31st May 2014 and will be in Quimper, Brittany. The website is being updated as I write, I'll have it done within a couple more days (sorry, work has to come first!!!). If anyone needs an application form in the mean...

Re: Horrible and not so horrible

I had a similar experience last year. I had ordered a number of smaller parts and asked the dealer to post them to a British address, as I was going to visit this friend during the summer. I received a bill, my credit card was charged, but when I met my friend he hadn't received the parcel. When I ...

Re: Horrible customer service

It's a shame we're not able to hear who. In your position I'd ring them up and demand an instant refund on the card you paid with and take my business somewhere else - someone who won't reply to several mails doesn't deserve your business

Re: Orginal paint or custom??

Lou is right, as ever  but missed an important question. How standard is your car, or how standard do you intend to keep it? If it's exactly as it left the factory, a non-standard colour might well limit your market should you decide to sell. In fact not only that, but a standard colour that i...

Postponed- 5th November Footman James Open Day

At the Branch Liaison Meeting in Lutterworth recently, Dave Youngs from Footman James announced an 'Open Day' at their offices in Cradley Heath (wherever the hell that is :P ). It's on November 5th (Tuesday) so not entirely sure of the arrangements yet - whether it be a 'day' thing or a late afterno...

Ummm, summat happened and I've contacted the host to resolve - I'm fairly confident the problem is at their end somewhere  . Thanks for letting me know though, I've been up to my neck in other stuff for the past week and simply hadn't noticed!!!

Well to be fair, I was rather hoping to browse all the pics taken rather than my individual one on the way out, but hey ho! And I'm sure we all want to see the one(s) taken from the cherrypicker

Re: Traveller 60

Just a quick note from the 'back room' team - we'd like to offer our sincere thanks to all the attenders of this event. We ended up with quite a few more cars than we'd expected through bookings, but everyone got in okay with absolutely no hiccups that I'm aware of (okay, I did park the first 2 cars...
