Re: What do you have to declare to the Insurance companies
Thanks again for all the information.
It has put my mind at rest for the modified Minor.
I was beginning to think I had made a mistake buying one with what I thought was modifications that made it safer.
Now happier, looking forward to driving it in March.

Re: Insurance Companies
Hi Paul, Well the list on quotezone of mods was pretty comprehensive but I was a bit aprehensive of the way the questions were asked. Ticking boxes regarding questions like, 'Is there a bigger engine fitted'. No way to say how big. A 1275cc engine is a lot less than say a V8 some people fit. So I wa...

Re: What do you have to declare to the Insurance companies
Hi Blades, When I was searching sites for insurance for my Morris I saw that a car over 15 years old can come under classic insurance. Cannot remember which insurance company site though. I only pay just over £100 a year for my Landy full comprehensive as I am lucky to live in a very low crime area ...

What do you have to declare to the Insurance companies
Hi Folks, Just what do you have to declare to the insurance companies when requesting a quote. I know 1275cc engine, disc brakes, servo and upgraded suspension should be. However, do you have to list, electronic ignition, seat belts, new series 2 seats with headrests, reversing light, hazards, elect...

Re: Insurance Companies
Tried Performance Direct on their website and was transferred to Quotezone. They had a pretty comprehensive list of mods to go through and tick and Lancaster came up the best at £99.50 for full comprehensive 5000 miles usage a year and £250 excess.

Hi Folks, Can anyone advise on the best insurance companies to go to for insurance for a Minor Convertable that has a Marina 1275cc engine, Sierra 5 speed gearbox, disc brakes and servo and upgraded suspension fitted. High level brake light for a convertable
Have just bought a Series 3 convertable from Charles Ware and am now looking at all the safety features that can be added. I am getting Charles Ware to add most of these, headlight flasher, electric washers, hazard warning lights, etc. But would like to try and do some things myself. So High warning...
