Low Light Headlamp Parts

Hi. I asked this question in a post in Electrical but no replies so thought I'd try here.

Can any one tell me what the rubber fittings should look like that fit into the rim - what have you used?

Re: MM PARTS IN CLUB SPARES - new additions June 2021

I see you've in stock new Low Light headlamp rims - do you stock the bushes that they pivot on for headlight adjustment?
Cheers

Re: Newbie, Fiat TC & Volumex HFO 501 NEW BUILD 2018

Does that mean then that every part described as a group 4 part is at least
a replica of that part that was homologated?

Re: Copper Sealed Pop Rivets

Rivetts.jpg Is this the sort of thing you're after? - Easily available on Flea Bay I remember using these at school. You use an anvil (piece of bar)that has a dome machined out to fit neatly over the head of the rivet, this is placed in a vice and the parts assembled over the rivet and placed in th...

Re: Front Wing Inner Panel

now isn't that the piece that is welded to the inner wing to cover the hinges and not part of the outer wing?

Hello. I have a nice steel L/H lowlight wing but it's missing the part outlined in the above picture. I don't know what this bit is called but it shields the door hinge pillars cover panel. Is this part available anywhere? or would it mean sacrificing a later wing?

Re: Low Light Headlamp Parts

One side of the chrome ring has a rubber insert that swivels on the pin stuck in the outer edge of the lamp hole in the front panel. The inboard side of the chrome has a similar swivel but on a bracket that can slide fore-aft along the track welded to the inboard edge of the front panel and is clam...

Low Light Headlamp Parts

On the 5 3/4" rims of the lowlight headlamps there are two pressed in holes - one either side that the lamp pivots on, is there supposed to be inserts in them?

Re: Pitted piston - head gasket failure

Or put it back together and give it a compression test. If it's low gearbox off and drop the crank and have a look at the piston.

Re: Replacement Smaller Banjo Steering Wheel?

I've thought about this. If you remove the plastic wheel grip you're just left with a 5/16"(?) round steel bar ring welded to the stainless(?) steel spokes. It wouldn't be too hard to cut this ring off, make it smaller and reweld it back on.. You only then have to re wrap the ring for the grip,...

Re: Front Inner Wing Fitting Advice

I thought keeping the Door Hinge Panel in it's original position would help with the alignment, so now I can't fit the door,
What should I be aligning the Inner Wing to? Fitting the radiator panel seems a bit of a hit or miss as its so flexible.

Front Inner Wing Fitting Advice

Hi All. I've braced up the O/S door hinge panel and removed the inner wing. Hinge Pillar.JPG As you can see I've got the new inner wing in place but I'm struggling with the alignment. I can align the wing with the scuttle panel above the hinge pillar and push the wing into the Hinge Pillar but then ...

Re: Can anyone recommend a gasket sealant?

Wellseal - it doesn't set yet very sticky - it won't block the oilways. Its been around for donkeys years - I think my old Triumphs motorcycles were originally assembled with it - but that's no recommendation!

Duplicated Chassis No

I applied for a V5 for my project but my form has been returned saying that there is already a vehicle with that chassis number registered with the DVLA and that I need to register the car with them. I'm correct with my numbers and I suspect that these numbers have been transferred to another. What ...
