I'll be there, and a fellow traveller owner and his wife who lives down the road from me will be following (not sure if he will bring the mog... he didn't last week) So at least its a crowd of people, if not a car park full of mogs Oh, probably 8:15 by the time I get there (have to eat after the gym...

Yep its a weekly event, as long as the weather is fine and enough people keep turning up. (5 mogs is the best so far) Pubs are picked by word of mouth and some where for a good car photo shoot would not go a miss ;-) Tend to go for those out of town for a garden etc. The forest is popular as that br...

The lights are rated the same wattage its just more as light with halogen. So in theory you don't need to change....

But if you will be running a lot with lights on then an alternator will probably be a good investment.

Well Dan I'm happy to go with your suggestion. I saw Mike at the Dorset meet and he said he may not be able to make it, but Pete should be back from holiday and Paul might have Formally known as Yellowmog back on the road ;-) so lets say Cricketers Inn at 8 ish There are a couple of people that came...

in the glove box seems favourite, as it hides the player. An internal amplified aerial on the top of the windscreen gives me very good reception. Speakers placed according to size and preference but around the parcel shelf or below each glove box works well Of course you will need to have the car co...

opps, So sorry to have missed you Dan, as was said we got a tip off later that you had been there, but too late to catch you it seems. Next week will have to make sure we can see the cars, or perhaps hang on outside a little longer before the first drink to give people time to gather. We had 3 mog o...

High temperatures should actually help the battery (ok assuming its not melting or boiling) Possibly one of the cells is on its way out. I've had several batteries fail on one cell. Funny thing is that lights and everything work fine, but as soon as the starter comes on everything dies due to high l...

Do you have the heat shield fitted over the copper fuel line to the pump? The fuel line tends to heat up because its above the exhaust and the fuel boils. The air bubbles in the line cannot easily be pumped out by the fuel pump so the engine starves. But once cooled a little all is fine, thats your ...

a battery left uncharged is likely to suffer from frost damage (how long has it been there) and internal damage to the plates

I would invest in a new one personally.

OK that's fine with me. I may be a little late (15 minutes like last time) as I have the gym on that day. Stares out of windows and hopes that the sun might actually make an appearance for Thursday. I bumped into Mike at the Hampshire rally (where were you Pete?), he said he hoped to make it, I gues...

a rocker cover is no judge of an engine.

I'm 99% sure mines a 1275 marina engine (especially when I compare it against the marina manual I have) but at sometime in its life an MG cover has been used! I'll get that swapped for a nice green morris head some time soon.

Hi guys, It was a nice evening out, enjoyed sitting out in the last rays of sun chatting, even if the odd biker did drown us out on occasion! Pete, are you going to suggest a different pub next week? (work our way round the east edge of the forest ;-) ). Hope to see Dan and Paul next time and any ot...
