Hi I'm thinking of installing a cigarette lighter socket in the glove compartment using wires from the Radio that was there, should I use an inline fuse? If so what fuse should I install

Re: Seats
Hi, I think I must have miscommunicated my request! if you see the attached picure, does the Outer edge of the seat fit within the edge of the frame/ seat well, whatever it's called, or does the seat just fit on top? Hope this makes better sense? Regards Richard[frame] http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php...
Seats
Hi I own a 4 door 68 minor and just wanted to know if the base of the seat sits within the "frame" or outside of it?

Re: Headlight adjustment
Hi big Jim, excuse my ignorance but, when you say measure the height of the centre of the lamp, is that from the ground to the centre of the lamp?
Thanks Richard

Re: Spring clearance
Hi Thanks for all the responses and advice, as a new member to the club, I find every comment invaluable and really appreciate all the experience that I can draw from. Point noted about the springs, they probably do want replacing, but the slightly longer spring hangers I made have done the job bril...

Re: Spring clearance
Hi I called ESM to see if they had longer Spring hangers brackets but they only stock standard size brackets! So I got together with a friend who had steel and the right tools and we made some ourselves, which only took a couple hours, hopefully this will solve the problem, see picture of the standa...

Re: Spring clearance
Hi guys
Thanks for the advice, I have fitted new bushes, and just had a new left hand rear hanger bracket and plate welded and the spring still touches the bottom of the side plate!! Could I cut off an inch of the side plate, would that help give it some clearance?

Re: Rivnut tool
Hi solved the problem with the rivnuts., ordered a tool and some rivnuts and it works well, although looking on YouTube I saw someone had made a homemade one with an 8mm bolt, washer and nut, ant that worked a treat!! Amazing!

Spring clearance
Hi Has anyone used longer Spring hanger brackets? The rear Spring eye is close to the body and just wondered if longer brackets would help give a bit more clearance between the top of the spring and the body? Both Spring hangers are in good shape so there's no problem with any sag!
Thanks Richard

Rivnut tool
Hi I've just taken off my left rear wing on my 67 minor to have some welding done to the rear Spring hanger, and it was so rusty some of the captive nuts came away from the inner wing! That said, does anyone know where I can get a rivnut tool and rivnuts that take 5/16 unf nuts to keep things origin...

Hi David
Thanks for the info and the picture of the tool! Mine does have the plastic trim in it, just wondered
