Is that your mini in the attached picture? Looks very interesting. The only competition mini I have ever driven was a really light weight 1293cc sprinter with rear beam axle and limited slip diff. Forget about the back end just point it where you wanted to go, press the loud pedal and hang on!

If you do buy a S/H damper make sure that the rubber is not perished!
And YES I would fit a damper to the crankshaft. It does help preserve the crankshaft.
I agree with bmcecosse do not pay 90 pounds for a damper.

Can you confirm the measurements because if you take it as read you have cam lobes of 13.5 inches. I do not know about wear they seem to have grown.

If you decide to fit the screw on canister oil filter head you can if you want to use the longer (13cm) Ford screw on oil filter i.e. FRAM Part No: PH5210. The more filter the more crud it will catch. To compliment the oil filter use the ESM magnetic oil sump drain plug Part No: 10M247A.

Oselli have always done my rebores and currently charge for a four cylinder engines with bores up to 4" bore - 84 pounds plus VAT.
Pistons are extra.

Idealy when fitting a new oil pressure relief valve it should be lightly lapped in. Great care should be taken to ensure that the lapping paste DOES NOT get into the oil ways.
