commercial vehicle museums

hi i am rebuilding a 1952 morris mra 1 4 x4 army truck and i am trying to find one in a museum or its civilian version the lc5 or heartbeat truck as its known , i have tried most of the normal places but no luck at all , has any one got any ideas

i am going down your suggested route ,i have pressed in new guides and with new valves fitted all seams fine

whats the latest thinking on valve stem seals , i had a fully rebuilt head with all new guides valves and unleaded seats inc the latter spring type stem seals on the guides on all 8 valves i have got the head off after 2000 ish miles for an unrelated problem and just checking it over i found three e...

hi luckily they do have a slight offset so i can work it from there , cp pistons uk are very helpful but they don,t list the a series and they think they are from a limited production run, looking at the pistons with the offset to the plug side the internal arrows point to the thrust side

hi has anyone fitted cp109 pistons in a 1098 ,i have a good set to fit but they don't have any fitment direction marks on the tops only two arrows inside the skirt which would point to the cam or distributor sides of the engine and the oversize markings are not forward either , the skirt has a slot ...

i am rebuilding a 1952 morris mra 1 army truck which has not run for over 50 years the ignition system has been subject to the elements for years but apart from new ht leads all the original lucas parts work perfectly and the coil which had moss growing on it puts out a big strong spark , i wonder h...

i have just started a rebuild of a 1952 morris commercial mra 1 army truck and wondered if anyone here was into military vehicles , it was built at alderley park and shares the common morris theme of using as many types of nuts / bolts and thread sizes as possible !! :D

the apec braking online catalogue has a lot of good pictures and dimensions which might help with identification , i think it also has a cross reference facility

if you run a straight edge along the rails back from the kickup at the front are they flat

can anyone tell me if the bottom of van chassis rails are flat from the front till they go up behind the cab ,just been inspecting one and the rails go up from about the rack position to the front cross member by approx an inch,

hi does any one know if a 2 door striker plate will fit a 4 door as i cant find one , bull motif say on their parts list they will fit , the spring won't stay in mine as its so worn , i don't want to swap it for the n/s as my doors shut so well
