Unfortunately it has a limited market in the highlands, adding another £300 to £600 to the price will make it too expensive.
Would be a nice car when finished.

Re: Should I replace the whole rear inner wing with repair panel, or smaller custom patch?
Have a look at some of the video clips I made showing how Indid mine.
I repaired mine to keep the wing nuts in the correct position.
The tops of mine are rusted through but I intend to find solid metal and repair rather than replace.

Spotted a Minor Van
Saw a lovely blue Minor Van today in Edenfield.
I think it said Thornton and son on the rear, same place I spotted a lovely Red Convertible a few weeks back.
Anyone on here?

Re: Disc brakes
My 1965 Minor was fitted with shocking brakes when I bought it, I changed the complete system to decent shoes and cylinders etc. I found I could lock the front wheels when testing after fitting the new brakes. Having said that a locked wheel is not going to slow you down so as long as the brakes are...

Very well done whoever did it though, I like it as its a bit battered and bruised and brightens up my garage.

Re: Morris Art
I bought this a while ago at auction.
Hand painted on timber board whoever did it made a decent job of it.

No, not working for me either.
It allows me to go through the procedure but doesn't upload.

Re: Million going to auction
Just to add to the mix, my 1965 2 door has a screwed in Chassis plate, but its also has been fitted, shall we say out of level, must have been a rush job on a Friday evening!

Re: Lyrics of Madness' song "Driving In My Car"
I cannot help on all of the questions but some of the terms used are slang words.
Copper - Police officer
Slob - Lazy person
Gas - Petrol
As for open air, I take that to mean outside rather than office based, so taking the van out would be classed as an open air job.

Re: 1275 Gearbox bearing needles
I stripped my 1275 midget gearbox to refurbish it and to be honest the needle bearings were in superb order so I left them alone. To get to the needle bearings is fairly straightforward, getting the gear locking washer on is another matter. I used a feeler gauge to hold the pin down and a pick in th...

What an excellent idea, I can see this being the go to reference for years to come.

Re: wheel identity
Unfortunately the issue of metric PCD being used on Minors appears to be becoming more frequent and in some cases totally incorrect wheels are being fitted. Having seen truck wheels shear 3/4" studs I would rather have the correct wheels fitted. I just thought the wheels fitted to the van looke...

On the subject of mounting an A series engine on a stand, I came across this video which seem to have a special plate bolted to the engine block: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rad7cdJmT6k I did a little bit of research and came across another adaptor plate that was bolted to the alternator mountin...

I initially thought Triumph or similar, but the hole shape is different. I'm now swaying towards VW G60 Wheels just because of the slot design: https://www.google.com/search?q=vw+g60+wheels&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjUlJ7XztbrAhWYUBUIHUL-CM8Q_AUoAnoECBAQBA&biw=1536&...
