Folding seats sizes

ESM show seat covers for folding seats 56-59, 60-62 and 62-64 plus vans 57 onwards. Does anyone know how you can tell the differences? I have a folding seat frame but not sure what covers to order, thanks John

Re: A Frame

Many thanks for the interesting and varied replies. So the A frame and dolly are out so beginning to think I could adapt my twin axle boat trailer (1.5 ton 6m sailer) to take the Minor. It has braking already to the forward axle and could be adapted so both axles are braked - i will check overall le...

Re: A Frame

I wanted to use it for long distance to reduce wear and tear so that doesn't sound possible. The car is MOT'd and fully legal and close to concours. Which regulations cover these restrictions and does the same apply to towing dolly's? This is odd as I regularly see those large caravanets towing cars...

Is it possible to use an A frame to tow a Morris Monor? Have you used one and is it straightforward? Thanks, John

Re: Clutch won't disengage

Clutch pedal worked well and felt smooth with engine switched off - clutch linkages ALL new a week ago and correctly adjusted. Checked visually could see no probs. Moved engine fwd this eve finding bits of black splinters in bell housing as I opened it up. As the plate came out the friction material...

Clutch won't disengage

Car out ok for a week then brought back by AA today as couldn't engage gears although they select ok with engine off. Clutch works smoothly. Will whip engine out tomorrow eve to...

Re: LT prob?

Correct it wasn't the coil - however it was a break in the wire from the coil to the distributor, never had that before. Thanks, John

Steering rack v horn, horn winning

Fitted new rack this eve but horn blaring at one point when putting column back on splines. Hadn't removed steering wheel etc tho.

Disconnected horn to get rack job done so will have to look again tomorrow - any ideas what to look for?

Thanks for replies to grease priming of new rack, regards, John

Help with carb parts

Could you help to identify the thin tube coming out of the manifold please on the top pic (to the left of the green clip). The larger bolt head in the background must be the servo take off. Could you also clarify what the two brass tubes and the black pipe are for in the lower pic. I imagine the lat...

Midget 1098 10cc engine

I bought a 1098 Midget engine for £20 some years ago from ebay with a view to refurbing it when compressions and oil pressure on Betty our 1965 OEW convertible became low. Approaching that point now so started to strip down and puzzled/pleasantly surprised to find the main bearings are 2". As n...
