Re: National Rally: On-The-Door Booking

Hi Adam

You'll be able to park as normal with the other minors whether you pre-book or pay on the gate - just folk like me who'll be ostracised for turning up in a Toyota (due to various issues) lol

As with any event it is best to contact the organiser - full details are in Minor Matters, I am quite a distance from my copy so can't help - sorry

It's always a good do - I will be there but only as a visitor as my Trav is not on the roa...

Re: boot badge colour

I don't visit here too often so have just seen this and would disagree with the replies. In the "Original Morris Minor" book there is a picture of the boot badge with blue enamel around the Morris script as with the bonnet badge. I also managed to obtain a NOS boot badge with the blue colo...

I saw you coming in as I was going - good selection of cars but only 3 Minors - only 1 stall with Minor bits on but they were in a worse state than I throw away lol

Re: Steering Wheel Nut

And for fellow tool fetishists the correct size socket/box spanner is 3/4 Whitworth for Minor 1000 & 7/8 Whitworth for MM/S11

You could try using a puller on the drum or levering off with large screwdriver or small jemmy.

Ah - thanks for the correction Mike - the chassis no should still be able to determine whether MM or S11 though

Re: The difference between mm and series 2

Late 52/early 53 was the crossover between MM & S11s - lots of cars have since had engines, grilles & badges changed etc - the only real way to tell is by the chassis no - if the prefix is SMM then it is a Series MM & if the prefix is FA or FB then it is a Series 11.
