Re: Loss of power / surging?

Give the mixture alteration a try, when setting up my new carb I was surprised how many turns I needed to turn the nut out. It was hunting horribly and back-firing until I got drastic with the mixture.

Re: Hello From Me and Ted

So now he's got his nice wheels it's time to give the little old chap a bit of pep :) I had a bit of Mini stuff laying around so I though it might be better put to good use. Re: Loss of power / surging?

If the engine is running very weak this could cause pinking too. Turn the mixture nut anti-clockwise a turn and see if it makes any difference, if not try another turn - you can always screw it back if it doesn't.

Re: Brakes not working

After weeks of bleeding, 5 litres of brake fluid, a new master cylinder (that I didn't need  ) the penny finally dropped - I had fitted ...

Re: Fuel related questions

The 'fuel catalysts' that either fit in line or drop in the tank in a bag are a waste of time and have zero effect on the fuel. If you are simply using the car as a run a round and not towing a heavy trailer or doing mega miles then just put ordinary 4 star in and don't bother with additives. There ...

I'll waffle on for another couple if you like :)
None of my vehicles seem sensitive to that supplied from the various fuel outlets, just put the cheapest in and they are as slow as ever.
