Re: Engine Plate/Number

I changed the engine on one of my mogs a few years ago and made a plate of brass and stamped it with my post code and a date, they accepted this without a murmer. :( :(

Hi Rob, nice work, my key fob for the MM is an old Porsche one, then if it is found by the ungodly they will be looking for the wrong car. 8)

Re: Anti Roll Bar Questions

I would also reccomend fitting one. Even my MM tourer goes round corners with hardly any roll. A slight adjustment to the camber angle also helps keep tyre wear more even. 8)

Same internals but the casing is different. I have recently o/h my spare and the guts of the 1939 series E box went straight in to my MM casing. :D

Re: Adjustable rear hub seals..Whaaaaat????

Rob, when I was at sea we only used to rough jobs out until we reached port. Even in a moderate sea the dial gauge used to move as the ship pitched and rolled!! All precision stuff was finished at anchor or alongside. :D

Re: Adjustable rear hub seals..Whaaaaat????

I have just fitted new hub bearings to my pickup. As it was a bank holiday weekend I had to get them from local bearing supplier in Hull so these should be OK. They were twice the price of my usual south coast supplier of Moggy bits. :( Timkin 6207. the only other numbers on the box were 01G 79 =AER...

Any body know how to inform TomTom about a change of email address? I checked all the options and there are no means of asking a simple question.

The old center plate was bigger than the new type, also it isn't segmented therefor it had a greater surface area and was slipping. The new type hadn't a chance.
