Re: sale with or without MOT?
I would sell it, use the money from it to put towards a better one in the future. Sadly you cannot keep cars forever if they need work, and most likely someone will fix it up and give it a loving home.

Re: Another £7,000 Traveller On Ebay Worth Only Half.
I think a big problem thought is a lot of the 'newbies' decide that they want a Morris Minor because they had one back in the day, automatically assume that because they are old they are worth money, then go straight onto eBay and buy one for a ridiculous price. They often then decide a year later t...

NGK BP6ES is what they are, done about 4/5000 miles. The Champion set that they replaced had much more rounded electrodes, the ground electrode was rather thin also.

I put some unleaded additive in for the long journey, don't normally bother for around town, that will explain the red tinge.

Re: 2013 national Saturday :((((
If I am honest, I thought the event was a bit of a let down for an 'international event', but I still enjoyed it the same, and grabbed some bargains at the auto jumble!! :D :D I was lucky enough to bring my portable stove and kettle, so I did not have to suffer the queues. I will not moan about it b...

There is usually a good selection at the national, but if they are any good or not or they are a good price is a different matter!!

Re: Wiper blades
I have never had problems with ESM, quick service and any issues have always been recified without any fuss. Bull Motif are excellent too. However I believe the new wiper blades available from all the suppliers are pretty poor, so you might be better just replacing the rubber on the current ones, if...

Mine runs like a bag of s**t with the choke on in any position when cold, really lumpy, no idea why, but normally half choke for start up, and I push it in as soon as I set off.

If the paint job is as good as all the other work done to the Traveller, then it will be mint! Reckon you can have it ready for the National in 3 weeks?

I think that some of the early 60's cars had them just above the tax disc on the windscreen, but I don't think that the later models had them.

Re: 1969 4DR Saloon Restoration Project (a very slow one)
Get your head right up behind the dash through the big square hole where the heater used to be. If you can do it right you can 'sit ' with your back against the bulkhead and you can put your arms through the 2 round holes under the dash. A little 1/4 socket fits perfectly, but 7mm can be used, but i...

Lets hope there is a good show at the National/ Centenary whatever then!
I must say, the autojumble at the national is probably one of my highlights of the weekend, but last year it was pretty poor/too expensive tbh for me.

I have exactly the same problem, but only when the indicator stalk is down ( when turning right) Lamp does not work, but the indicators work fine. The lamp works fine when in the 'up' position however. I just put it down as one of her 'things', but in reality, I assume its an earth or contact in the...

Re: Wheel Refurb
Mine were shot blasted by a mate, etch primed and then finished in OEW in rattle cans from ESM, 2 years later, not a speck of rust showing. So yes the cans of OEW should be alright.
