Body paint

I am planning to paint my 1952 Series MM restoration in Clarendon Grey, (originally painted black) the aerosol cans available in the U.K. that would be perfect for a sample of the colour cannot be shipped to the U.S.A. Does anybody have a chip or small body part with the original colour that could b...

Re: MM sound insulation/proofing

Thanks to owlsman for the info on the Woolies deadening felt, I have been to the website and see that they sell it by the metre, how much did you order and did you use it for the roof and/or the boot lid? Regards, Paul manlyvaleaussie

Re: MM carpet colour

Thanks to all for your help, I think I might have gotten lucky and found a supplier here in the U.S. who can supply in maroon, will let you know how it works out. Paul. manlyvaleaussie

MM carpet colour

According to Ray Newell (and who would doubt his word) my 1952 Series MM would have come with maroon carpet, however none of the suppliers I have tried have maroon, they all have red. Looking for advice. Thanks, Paul Follett. Yuma, Arizona. manlyvaleaussie

Looking for advise on where to purchase sound insulation/proofing for my MM. Ran across a company by the name of NK group, they have a kit that seems to cover everything but the roof and trunk lid, anyone heard of them and/or used their products. Re: Sidevalve Replacement Engine Colour

During the time I have been restoring my '52 MM I have struggled with the engine paint colour bur for what it's worth here's where I ended up. After reading Ray Newell's Original Morris Minor several times and lots of other research it became clear that a number of options existed with apparently th...

Re: Series MM headlining

To: TvdWerf I am extremely interested in obtaining the triplex headlining you mention. Alberta would be okay but Pasco (WA State?) would be great. Any chance you could ship it direct to me , at my cost of course. Regards, Paul Follett. manlyvaleaussie

Series MM headlining

I'm sure this subject has been discussed a number of times but please have patience with the new boy on the block. In the restoration of my '52 Series MM I have arrived at the headliner, after 30 years sitting out in the desert here in Yuma Arizona the original plywood, fabric etc. literally crumble...

Series MM rear window clips

In dismantling my 1952 series MM 2 door saloon it had the original window rubber but after nearly 70 years in the desert sun it was more like the hardest plastic you've ever come across. Therefore by the time I actually got the glass out of the rear side windows I had some clips in my hand (photo at...

AC oil filter for 918cc engine

This is Paul again in Yuma, my 918cc engine has the AC brand oil filter, does anyone know were I can find the sump to head gasket, the original fitted over the bottom of the sump but I imagine one that would fit into the groove of the base would work. O.D. of the sump is 3.470", I.D. of the bas...

MM engine numbers

For what it's worth, following up on MM engine numbers. This is Paul in Yuma, Arizona and I am restoring a 1952 MM, built in December of '52, this car is amazingly original with the generator, starter, wiper motor to name a few, having the original date stamps of 12 52 on them and so I am very confi...

Posting a photo

For what it's worth, this is a follow up to the previous discussions about posting photos in the message board. Series MM oil pump

Rob, I have a late 1952 918cc and the oil pump is quite different to the earlier type, I wish I could attach a photo but haven't been able to figure that one out, perhaps you could guide me through the process. My pump has just a straight intake tube of approx. 7/16" O.D. and the body of the pu...
