Re: beam deflectors.

I "think" you have to carry a warning triangle just in case you you break down as well as the breathalizer kit and the high viz jacket (jacket has to be in the front of the car not in the boot)

You can get stick on headlight beam deflectors from your local Halfords. About £8. Simply follow instructions. Easy to apply easy to remove on the return to the UK :D

Re: Advice on buying a Convertible please.

^^^^^ Agree with above. It you are new to Morris Minors a standard 1098cc car will be easier for you to learn to do the basic things on - all parts are available from our suppliers and you can always ask on this forum for help!. Whilst a 1275 cc Marina engine/pedal box may make the car quicker if so...

Re: Windscreen trim

It won't fit. You will need the rubber specially designed for the metal insert rather than the later "chromed plastic one" Sadly they are not interchangeable. Keep the stainless steel for when you need to change the rubber. If the existing windscreen rubber doesn't leak leave well alone1 :D

Agree with above advice. The doors are heavy enough without the added weight of the glass etc.

A sad hard decision to make, but given your circumstances at the moment I agree with what's been said already. You need to concentrate on your family (congratulations by the way!) When everything is more settled come back to the wonderful world of Morris Minoring - we'll still be here to help :D . Y...

Re: buying price advice - Minor 1000

My "quick" observation of the wet paintwork. The car has had a respray with the wings/wing rubbers still attached. There is evidence of rusting/cracked filler above this. At some stage in the near future this will have to be repaired. Removing those wings and the rubber seals will crack th...

Try behind the glove boxes looking towards the speedo - this area doesn't usually get resprayed.
