Hooray, my Morris passed it's mot this morning for the first time in two years or so. The mot man said it was a cracking little car & didn't even give any advisories. I'm thrilled to bits & hopefully can get some miles under her belt now whilst doing some other tidying up jobs as we go along...

Well, it sold for £500. Bargain for someone I think if it is what it says.

New Wheeler dealers tonight on Quest at 9pm, they're doing a Morris traveller.

Used to use both. Just ESM get my business now, cant fault them.

It doesn't come with it. I used a length of plastic coated washing line. It's strong, slippery & big enough not to tear the rubbers.

Wish I could afford/justify it myself. I think it'd be a lovely thing to own. I hope it gets bought by an enthusiast on here & restored or preserved as it deserves.

Hi all.
Is it necessary to take out the radiator to remove the water pump? The manuals all say to remove it first, is that the best way?

I recently did mine & putting the rubber on the glass & then the assy to the body worked great. The best lube I found for fitting all the rubbers to body was hellerine oil, sold for electricians to run cables through conduit.

Worth trying another bleed, but it sounds like the master cylinder needs replacing to me.

It's a pity you don't know someone with a nice dry garage where you could store it for a while until you have the time/money/enthusiasm to carry on with it. By gravity bleeding, do you mean once the new rear cylinders are fitted just open a bleed nipple (with a pipe going into a jar of brake fluid obviously) and let the fluid run through to eventually bleed itself of air?

Excellent, no need to lift the flooring again then to touch the master cylinder. It's funny you say that. I was at Newark autojumble yesterday & a stall there was selling Castrol classic EP90 so I bought some of that to refill with instead of the EP80/90.

Found them, I was looking on the outside of the hubs, didn't realise they were on the back .
They were blocked up, all clear now.
