many thanks Phil, that´s what i was looking for would a 12G295 be an option? It´s because i got one stored. It has a bit bigger inlet valve and 2.2 cc more chamber volume. We discussed about this head to be mounted to a 948 with shimming. https://www.mmoc.org.uk/Messageboard/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=...

i have a engine standing in my garage.Got a few problems with identification The block is labeled 12A497, the engine numberplate shows 8G162 ES(B or 8)1509 with AD stamped in the second row in the space. I was lucky and could buy a used Austin pulley at a good price...., i was told to remove the dumper, and then it should fit.

all non split screen Saloons (56 onwards) should have the same rear window. I would guess they simply reversed the screen rubber if it really does not fit. How did you realize that it does not fit?

i got something they did right first. It is the access to the bake adjuster, witch was easy without removing the tire because there was a hole in the rim. No idea why they removed this hole in later rims
