Re: Traveller '68 - Left Hand drive conversion
So, Master Cylinder removed, push rod unscrewed ready to be shorternd by 4 -5mm. (measure twice, cut once :( ) Some advice though please Is there a possibility, even remote that the innerds of the MC are contibuting to the fault of binding Brakes? Under the golden rule of "if its not broken, th...

Re: Post referendum malarkey
That is exactly right Roy. ...and precisely what the european Union is all about. One Thing though, not mentioned by all the pundits. The EU free trade Agreement of member states is very advantageous for large Multi national companies - GM for example make their cars in GB, Germany, Spain, Belgium.....

Re: Brakes sticking on, servo problem?
This thread is déja vu for me -
SmeProblem, also with a servo except that I Need to remove the push rod and shorten it up because the there is not enough adjustment. Hopefully do this at the Weekend.
Do you Casiofi also have a brake fluid Reservoir located in the engine compartment?

What is British? Is the Deutsche Bank now British because its chairman is English? Is the steel component with "Made in England" stamped on it British? The Basic sttel probably emanates from China and if it does not, then the Ore Comes from Sweden, the coal for smelting likely from Austral...

Re: Traveller '68 - Left Hand drive conversion
Made another small test drive just now and it is better News but not perfect. The rear Brakes are obviously not binding any more, the front less so, Drivers side still warming up. Will try without the servo connected, next time - thanks Roy for the tip. As this appears to be the root of the problerm...

Re: Traveller '68 - Left Hand drive conversion
Binding Brakes I will add this final Problem to this thread as before I did the conversion all was working well. Did some road testing this afternoon and it is quite clear now that all wheel Brakes are binding ( some smoke and all 4 wheels have heated up)- thus for my logic it can only be that some...

Re: Post referendum malarkey
The sources of Information I give links to are european and thus are issued in many languages. I tend to read the German Version and hence the link, but by clicking the appropriate box, it is also available in English. Switzerland, like UK is a sort of mini-EU with differering peoples and Areas, eve...

Re: Post referendum malarkey
Actually I am quite worried of the after effects for everyone but at the same time it is interesting. But always a pleasure to be in this Forum and obtain info not really available in Manuals. Brakes - I replaced all the front wheel cylinders, brake linings and hoses 3 years ago because the (then) D...

Re: Post referendum malarkey
It is nice to feel wanted but I have been trying to sort my binding Brakes - Sulking? It is likely that I will be a winner from the vote as a large Body of the Banking sector could leave London for Frankfurt and as a result the property Prices in "Mainhatten" will jump. Thus my sadness, ma...

Re: Front brake cylinders.
That has got me thinking. My Brakes are binding again after a Long lay off whilst doing my LHD conversion. i thought perhaps that the Master cylinder is at fault ( still need to check if all or only 1 or 2 wheels are affected) however, how can i tell if i have the "replica" wheel brake cyl...

Re: This Europe referendum malarkey
Hope springs eternal. If UK does leave the EU then will the UK itself break up? The Scottish think so and now the Welsh I am told. Not a promising future either. The EU has the second largest BIP in the world. Based on BIP per capita, which is a more realistic assessment Uk is 25th - on a par with G...

Re: This Europe referendum malarkey
Uk will not come out of the EU even if the Referendum makes a majority vote to Brexit. Unlike most of the EU member states , UK does not have a constitution and as such the government is not obliged to accept the vote. The only way that the relevant clause can be invoked is through parliament. Prese...

Yes, i forgot the new ruling. Makes no particular difference though. Except of course, if Britain leaves the EU. Then most likely the 6 month rule will apply.

Re: Taking the moggie to France
If this system is the same in France as it is here, then you can apply for a separate registration where the number plates are red - the restriction being as you say but also for recognised classic events further afield. The tax is then cheaper - for a normal "historic" vehicle I am oblige...
