Given 20 weight oil will be the same weight as 20w50 at room temp I can't see any problem at all using either.

Guess the proper stuff is a bit more costly...

A location would really help members assess whether they are prospective purchasers!

Honestly, in that state they aren't worth a huge amount, maybe £1K to the right buyer? Worth checking ebay for sold items to see what they went for.

Absolutely.

Gotta look the other way as well, having a forum shows what the club is about, and will entice members (or put them off if it is rubbish ).

The forum likely helps the club funds quite a lot... though I doubt it covers the costs of running it in its entirety.

Re, post from Bowie69 that's another reason why I'm not renewing .With arrogant rants like that to a member who doesn't realize that I also had a pm chat with an admin. I'm not on any social media sites / forums but I'm told they can be very personal like this site can be . This is what I was hopin...

- You question the worth of paying to belong
- You don't give reasons
- You almost try to persuade people not to pay to belong
- You don't engage with the admin when asked a direct question
- Then after a very balanced admin finally decides to act you post another subject criticising ​them

That's a polybush you have fitted, the purple one means it is probably made by 'Powerflex' and from their universal types.

It isn't worn, so unless you like burning money, there is no reason to change it.

As above, first bit of the choke should raise the idle, possible the adjustment screw for this is missing or maladjusted, it turns a cam against the main throttle butterfly.

I'd say it is only the 10% that is more volatile, the rest of it is the same stuff, and doesn't get carried away by the E part of the fuel.

Honestly, I don't think E10 will make any difference at all to 99.9% of running, and won't need anything changing on these cars except rubber fuel line.

If tight on space the pancakes are useful, especially on twin carb setups, but we are not overly burdened with that on a Minor.

Those pancakes are known to be absolutely terrible at making any more power, in fact they kill it, but they are very good at making additional annoying induction noises!
