In order for a repair to be acceptable for an MOT test it has to be attached as per the manufacture. That means that a repair must be seam welded all the way around. All them fizzing balls of weld tend to be caused by trying to weld to iron oxide. This is the nasty brown crusty stuff that builds up between to seams. Celly from Express pains in Portsmouth £15 a litre. If you start from bare metal at least you know what you have got. Try Lechler green 2K high build primer. Forgot about that!! Eastona,Put two coats mixed 50/50 first should be a dust coat second should be a full coat. 50/50 for celly paint? Way to thick for anything more than a first coat. After that try using a 2k thinner i usually reduce the last wet coats to about 80/20 (thinner/paint) leaving about 10-15 mins between coats. The 2k thinner flashes off slower so you dont get dry spots and gives a far better shi...
