Re: POSTING A PHOTO

Come on guys this is starting to get out of hand. I know what its like to be on a committee running a car club. I have been on the committee for the Austin Seven owners club for 40 years and I have been on the receiving end of club members who criticise but never volunteer to help in the running of ...

Re: Advice please

I had to sell my 1929 Austin seven chummy due to advancing years and being 6ft 3in after 33 years but it meant I could then buy my Panda much easier to get in and out of. Try putting it on the Austin seven owners club website.

Re: Rear seat restoration

I have already removed the front seat to facilitate the entry and exit of the present Mrs.B. weighing around 22 stones she looks very intimidating when she's wearing her Millwall football club tee shirt and displaying the love and hate tattooed on her knuckles. I think I may need some new rear sprin...

Re: Rear seat restoration

Could you tell me how you get on with the seat. I'm a bit apprehensive about taking it apart as I haven't seen those clips before and not sure if I can put them back.

Rear seat restoration

Can anyone give me some tips on restoring the padding in my rear seat. The present Mrs B has complained that there is insufficient padding in the seat although she has ample padding of her own. She only travels in the back seat so she can wave to passers by. Any advice would be gratefully received t...

Re: Why O Why?

I don't think they are needed on a 1969 car but if they are fitted they must be working and pass the MOT. If fitted they must be used. That is what I understand to be correct but I may be wrong, I have been in the past according to the present Mrs. B.

Re: Ginger bush

I'm a bit apprehensive of visiting our local garden centre, the last time I went there I was escorted from the premises due to a misunderstanding regarding the protective film to stop the discharge from my Purple morning glory. A shame really as I'm sure there are several assistants of mature years ...

Re: Ginger bush

I thought I would check on the Ginger bush to see if it was surviving. I carefully pulled back the black lacy covering to see if it was ok when I was caught in the act and received a strong reprimand from the present Mrs B. My poor old Purple morning glory seems to have disappeared completely I don'...

Re: Ginger bush

A very Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all my readers regarding the Ginger Bush which has now been covered in a black lacy material to keep out the cold. I'm hoping that come the spring I might be able to remove the material and see if there are any signs of sprouting. My poor Purple morning...

Re: Ginger bush

Oh dear just when I thought I had been forgiven for the Ginger bush saga I have been banished from the matrimonial bed yet again. I have been practising my culinary skills by concocting a Brussel sprout, pickeled egg and baked beans curry. The dog has begged to go out in the garden and refuses to co...

Re: Ginger bush

I thought I'd give an update on the Ginger bush. Taking Firedrakes advice I've given the bush some TLC and it seems to be still growing but with some Grey beginning to show through. I suspect it may suffer some moulting when the cold weather starts. The same cannot be said of the pussy which seems t...
