Graphoref
I had a lovely surprise through the post yesterday - my sister found from somewhere a Graphoref 26 - a parts ordering booklet in 11 languages. It has excellent exploded diagrams of Moggie parts. I've never seen these booklets before but I'm delighted with it! I can also practise my French, German, S...

Steering Wheel
Hi
Has anyone tried restoring a steering wheel. I have one of the later plastic "safety" wheels - is it possible to fill/repaint it etc.?
thanks

spring hanger to new floor
This is a great jigsaw puzzle but the smell of rust damp and mould is gradually fading. I've just (successfully!) welded in a new driver's side floor but I now need some advice about fitting the new front spring hanger. The front spring hanger repair comes on a plate. Where the hanger repair meets t...

Welding repairs and MOT
It's good to know that I'm not the only one doing sill and floor repairs! A thought has struck me - what (if any) are the implications for MOT regulations on distance of welds from structural points of the "usual minor repairs"? I'm thinking particularly of where front spring hanger (avail...

Floor replacement
Hi all From any who have done this before, are there any particular tips for replacing the floor - eg. where it joins the transmssion tunnel? I'm replacing the sills too - are the floor extension panels available from the suppliers - ie those that join floor to outer sills? I couldn't see them when ...

What size sockets do I need?
Happy Easter everyone
I'm about to take off the driver's door but I am not sure what size socket I should be using - the 9/16 and 14mm are too big?
Is there a Whitworth for this size, and if so where would I get hold of one?
thanks
Alastair

What are these switches?
I'm new to Moggy ownership but already heavily into cutting out the rot and welding in new panels. Removing the gearbox cover panel the other day, as well as seeing all the rust flakes inside the chassis rail, I happened to glance up and notice two little silver toggle switches - one at each end und...

I've been having a great time cutting out the rot on the bootfloor and am now about to weld in the boot floor repair panel and the repai panel that fits under the bootlid. Question - should the edges of these two panels be spot welded, plug welded or edge welded?
thanks

A welcome relief that Andrew Greenwood is back as organiser. The last few years have been disappointing. This year, a much better "feel" all round although I'd like there to be even more cars in the hall (as there were in the early days). I manahed to pick up an original workshop manual in...

Rear Spring Hangers
Hi, I have just bought two rear spring hanger chassis repair pieces which also come with additional flat plates. I have 2 questions: Are these plates welded to the inner wheel arches as supports or are they just repair plates for the arches themselves? Also, this may just be that the rear of my car ...

As a Glaswegian living in exile in Stevenage, great to see pictures of the transport Museum at Kelvingrove again. I first saw the wee blue imp when I was about 7 or 8 years old (I'm now 42!). Also remember on my way to primary school a house with a green imp and a mustard imp, neither of which ever ...
