Re: orignial price-list for the Morris minors

Apparently you can attach pictures but only if fairly small. I am still awaiting a response from Colorus regarding maximum size. (NB: please bear in mind any existing copyright when posting photos of extracts from publications).

Re: New chassis for van - advice & opinions...

As with all Minor parts/panels it usually pays to buy the best quality that you can. I don't have personal experience but have heard good things about the chassis produced by unseen projects which is available from ESM: http://unseenprojects.com/unseenprojects.com/Morris_LCV_Chassis.html Hopefully o...

Re: How to post a photo

Has the process changed in the past few years? It's changed in the last few weeks, with the new messageboard. There is no longer an 'upload picture box' - you need to add a picture as an attachment. Apparently the following works: When posting a message click on the 'attachments' tab below the text...

Re: Foreign hackers/wasters

When registering here people have to provide a valid email address. They are then sent an email to that account which provides a link to validate their registration. So there is some level of security to bypass after joining to prevent 'robot' spamming but obviously not enough! As mentioned previous...

Re: Foreign hackers/wasters

The spam problem has been reported to admin (our IT provider) who are looking into it. Believe me it's as annoying having to delete it as it is seeing it! :( Spammers frequent all sorts of sites so I don't think we are being particularly targeted (unless Morris Minor owners have been singled out as ...

Re: Last Traveller

The spam problem has been reported to our IT provider. Please do not click on any links posted in spam messages. Aside from people not wanting to see it, it is taking up a lot of the mods time deleting the posts and banning the spammers. Hopefully admin will sort the problem out soon!

Re: Changing my email for this site

If you want to check/change your email address just click on your name (top right of page when logged in). Then click on 'user control panel' then 'profile' then 'edit account settings'. This will show you your registered email address. To change this, type in the new address and press the 'submit' ...

Re: Size of pictures

For info, there is no longer the ability to upload images here directly from your pc, which there was on the 'old' messageboard - you need to link to an image stored on a publically accessible web server such as photobucket etc. From reading the site FAQ's it seems that this is because the administr...

Re: Wing piping

Minor wing piping is not an exact match to the body paint colours, although I've seen cars where it has been painted - presumably sprayed at the same time as the car was. That may be why your previous wing piping was clarendon grey as it isn't actually available in that specific colour.

Re: Wing piping

Andrew Eggleton (MorrisMinorSpareParts) sells dark grey piping which is probably the nearest match for clarendon grey: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MORRIS-MINOR-WING-PIPING-IN-GREY-/171579110637?hash=item27f2e974ed:g:psQAAOSwkNZUid1 Here's his website: https://www.morrisminorspareparts.com/ ESM sell a ...

Re: Messageboard back up!

Hi Rob, our IT provider have posted a message in a separate thread regarding a problem with pictures: Hi All, Please don't worry about missing pictures/threads/etc, all the data is there, but due to the age of the old forum and having to drag it (quite a few) versions up to the latest has meant that...

Re: Last Traveller

All of the Adderley Park factory records were destroyed in a fire so you won't be able to get the information you need regarding colours used. My traveller is ex-MOD (first registered in 1974) so I'm guessing that was the reason why Gaydon were asked to provide details of the build date. I think the...

Re: Last Traveller

I'll double check Paul Skilleter's figures when I get home later tonight. Edit: Just checked and chassis numbers 1290813 - 1294082 apparently relate to just 1971 travellers. I know my traveller was built in March '71 (but not the exact date) as it came with a letter from Gaydon Archive (dated 1997) ...

Re: Last Traveller

In Paul Skilleter's book the Adderley Park traveller chassis numbers are listed as from 1290813 (Nov '70) - 1294082 (April '71), which would make your traveller 378 away from the end of production. There was an article in Minor Matters a while back seeking the 'latest' Traveller. I can't find the is...
