Re: Spax struggles

Well keeping my fingers crossed but been bumping about for a while. Keep up the good work Roy, had a conversation with the people I work with this week, none of them new what a Morris minor was, very sad!

Re: Solid heater water pipes

I agree, BMC is certently a legend in his own bathroom as well as on this site, is there a possibility that bmc and roymck are the same person? It just seems rude to me, smacks of road rage, if their conversation was in the street or at a meeting there would be a polite exchange of conversation. I v...

Re: Spax struggles

Sorry, nothing to add but have spax on all four corners and they have been there since God was a boy. Predicting some trouble any time soon and thinking this thread will be much easier to find if I have added a comment. Sorry once again.

Re: Well I found some

... probably not going to be of much use, but I dug these out of one of my sheds - maybe some will come in useful when Im tinkering around. You can never have too many tools after all![frame] http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php?src=1411310260_21534 [/frame] Well I agree but I now have so many that I can...

Re: Differential identification

Also wondering if Hunsta is aware that you mean an axle from either a MG Midget or Austin Sprite (Spriget). Please accept my appologies if you know thats what was meant, it has thrown a few people off before so thought it was worth a mention.

unusual hood

Hi, never seen a hood/cover like this for a minor before, has he made a mistake with the listing perhaps? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/morris-minor-1000-Covertable-Hud-Cover-And-Window-Level-Cover-/181469238224?&_trksid=p2056016.l4276#ht_44wt_958[frame][img]http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php?src=140571...

Re: High level brake light for a convertable

Bulbs are £5.65 at the moment as no need to buy the chrome ring again, hoping that the led's have a long life as it could become an expensive mod if they do not stand the test of time.

Re: Out with the old.......

"You will notice that my (not so) new engine has a breather on the timing chest cover and not one on the rocker cover, do people think this a better set up? If so I shall continue to run this 'as is'". Never seen a 1275 engine without a crank breather before, any more pics of the engine?, ...

Re: High level brake light for a convertable

Its taken me a while to get around to this but I think a pretty good mod for under £15. The hardest thing to do was establishing where the centre was to drill the 20mm hole. Re: 1275 Gearbox rebuild

Time for a quick update: Spent most of this week researching gearboxes! Sad I know but true. I have to make some use of that anorak I have :-) I was fascinated by the fact that 1098 Midget boxes have exactly the same ratios as the 1275 Midget boxes but, from the outside, at least, they are identica...
