Thanks guys. I guess I knew the answer but didn't want to face it.
I've now ordered one from ESM who get me parts within three or four days. But it's expensive having a Moggy in the colonies - 36 Pounds just for shipping!

Brake master cylinder seals
Is their a way to remove the the push rod on a master cylinder and change out the seals without removing the entire master cylinder? Mine is leaking from the front of the master. I had the car sand blasted and I think some sand got in. (I've cut off the front rubber boot which was full of sand and b...

I'm in the States so I've never seen Smoke Grey. How would you describe it?
Thanks,

Great progress! How would you describe the Smoke Grey colour? Does it have much blue? It looks almost beige on my monitor.

Re: Welding: Gas versus Gas-Less
I find that gas makes far better welds unless you are outside and it is windy. If you are draining your bottle too fast I would check the pressure flow setting; it may be set too high. You can also experiment and turn down the pressure until the point where your welds deteriorate as oxygen starts to...

Oh, OK thanks Roy; I'll use that. I also have the manual but I thought there was a special file.

Beero,
Could I please have a PM too? I'm getting ready to rewire Beatrice as a 1958.
Thanks,
George

Fin,
I accidentally ordered an extra set of saloon rear leaf springs (5 leaves) plus hardware from BM. It's crazy expensive to send them back to England so you can have them for free. I think yours has 7 leaves but PM me your address if you'd like them.

Re: Recreating Beatrice
Check out the Frilford Grey! Beatrice was Clarendon Grey but I like this 1959 colour much more. It's darker and more charcoal than it appears in these pictures. I also soundproofed under the headliner.[frame] http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php?src=1372638931_17089 [/frame][frame] http://mmoc.org.uk/mbim...

Re: Comparing vendors rubber engine mounts
Nuts were indeed extra. When I first got the BM mounts I did think they were softer but then I rechecked the ESM ones. To be sure, I did a test where I closed my eyes and swapped them back and forth between my hands. I then pressed my thumbnail into each one, made a judgement, and opened my eyes. I ...

Comparing vendors rubber engine mounts
I will be mounting a new 1275 so I've been reading about rubber engine mounts. I first purchased a pair from ESM about two months ago but people have written that the ESM ones are too hard and cause engine vibration. Today I received a pair from BM that are supposed to be softer. I can't tell any di...

I got some new van wheels powder coated and mounted with some 155/80 Toyo 310 tires. I also powder coated my old spare and mounted a 145 tire.

I think your temps are too high! Given your official BMC thermometer it looks like the proper Morris range is only 60-75 degrees.

Neil,
Very clean looking. I'm sure your wife is complaining about all the dust but now you'll have a solid base and will never have to worry about hidden rust.

Re: Recreating Beatrice
I found this marine blower for US$90. https://www.boatpartsforless.com/shop/jabsco-flexmount-blower-105-cfm/ It is rated at 105 ft3/minute. I don't know what the stock one blows but this little one feels stronger. It has the same 3" entrance and exit. Jabsco also makes a larger 150 ft3/minute m...
