1275 Ital induction/exhaust

Hi to you all, I'm fitting a 1275 Ital engine shortly and wondered if it was plausable to (temporarily) use the 1098 standard carb/manifold and exhaust system. I realise it will be down on power but i seem to recall seeing this set up used. Again any comments will be greatfully received. Keith

Just one more query. I've been told that all A+ 1275 are actually 1293cc. Is this correct ?
