Re: 1275 cc Oil Leak
Looking at your pictures on the air filter thread, You will reduce the crankcase pressure if you purchase a oil catch pipe http://www.minispares.com/product/Classic/12A1735.aspx and fit it from the oil catch canister (front of the engine with small filter fitted) to the blanked off inlet on the rea...

Re: Diff Identification

I dont know if it was leaking however I cant justify puting it on only to find it is leaking... I willhave to think of a way to lock the system while...

Re: Diff Identification
Thanks all Great response Im going to swap it to the 3.9:1 Ive had a look at the unit and there is nothing that jumps out at me with regard to the diff (no broken teeth etc) Although the manual doesnt say as much Im guessing you need to withdraw the drive shafts before taking the old diff out. Re: Diff Identification
At the moment I suspect I wouldnt need 1st gear at all . It would pull away in 2nd happily. On an A road Im in 4th very quicky , probably before I hit 40 mph. Once there I can get up to 70 mph ( only done this once ) I was hoping I could first go for changing the diff if it was a higher ratio. It s...

I drove loads of Minors before i bought this one and the gearbox is the best I have driven by far. He gave me t...

Headlamp Peak
I recently ordered some bling for my saloon. Its not a standard minor so I didnt think it was to sacrilegious. I fitted one peak but could not keep it fitted as I cant believe they are legal. Having been involved with kitcars and SVA in the past you should try and keep sharp edges that could injure ...

could you send me a pic ?biomed32uk wrote: ↑Wed Feb 06, 2019 8:12 pm I fitted a couple of small speakers into the footwell kick panels, just enough recess there into the kidney panel to take the speaker. I made new kick panels out of MDF so they were stronger, and covered them in the correct vinyl.

Re: Battery Clamp
For oliver90owner and others. Hadn't noticed that in the photo. That pic was taken when I bought "Maurice". The clamp was soon moved to the proper place. Also, as you can see the bulkhead was filthy. It is now somewhat cleaner. There was at least 30 years worth of dust and grime, not only...
