on the subject of starters should there be a cover over the end of the bendix
that sticks out of the bellhousing as i think the bendix do not like any contamination eg dirt/oil

We now use a water based base coat colour with a high solids clearcoat to protect the base, Ce...

side valve carb needle

Looking to refurb my carb, just looked at my carb needle and it has GG stamped on it, the only one sold for the sidevalve is an EK The GG would appear to be for an 803cc OHV. Are the needle sizes set in stone, or are they dependant on using the one that gets the car driving most efficiently

Does it look like the picture of my wheel. The centre of my wheel is approx 2.72 inches across and as I read on the other thread the pcd is 4.5ins and the wheel is held on with bolts

mm roadwheel

Hi everyone
I am looking for a roadwheel for a 1953 MM. I am in Ireland so would prefer an irish based wheel because of delivery costs but will consider elsewhere will pay cost of wheel and delivery

tappet spanners

hi everyone
can someone give me the measurement between the jaws of the tappet spanners in imperial and metric to see whether i can source spanners locally to do the clearances on my tappets and do you need a set of gaskets for manifolds and covers to do the job

tappet spanner

Does anyone know what size spanner for sidevalve tappet adjustment, in the workshop manual the top spanner has 1/4 stamped on it. Do you need slim ones as specified in the workshop manual, if so how slim.
