Here's another one! I was tempted to tell him that you can buy a shiny new one with all its numbers for just seven pounds, but I hadn't the heart.

Re: Moggy migration

I once read a magazine article by someone who took a Minor to New Zealand, I think it may have been in Minor Matters but I'm not sure. It didn't go well, there was much cost and bureaucratic hassle and they even had to replace their cunifer brake pipes with steel ones for the local mot. The final st...

Re: Stolen Traveller Cardiff & Vale area

Why steal an MM? The real MM world is very small, an MM with history or without club history is a little difference. Compared to modern cars Minors are easy to steal and easy to disguise, and values for good ones are rising. There are still plenty of cheap rotten cars to provide an identity, and so...

Quite a few MMOC members have 1275 Marina engines, just not in Marinas.

I firmly believe that some Allegros should be preserved for posterity, but by someone else :D

Wiper motor

I have a working wiper motor amongst some Morris parts, but not as fitted to the Minor. It has marks 75647f. 14w. 12v. 26 72. and 54071652e. The watts and volts are self evident and I assume 26 72 means it was made in mid 1972 but I have not been able to find its application. Does anyone know what i...

I think some years ago someone took an Austin seven on a motorway and was killed by a sleepy juggernaut driver. Probably best to keep up with truck speeds, and stay off motorways if you can't.

I think a fuse is a good idea. The rating of the fuse will be determined by the current requirement of whatever you are intending to plug into the socket.

Why would you wish to dispense with the bypass hose? Does it not serve some useful function?

My son has a Fazer and loves it. I wouldn't try to get it in the back of a Traveller though.

Nice car, apologies for doubting its road ability. I'd love to take you up on the ride offer but sadly I'm at the other end of the country.

Re: Advice on buying a Convertible please.

The club has a policy of supporting owners who like either original or modified minors, there is a register for custom and modified cars. Of course there are always a few who are vociferous over their likes and dislikes as you get in any interest group and the rest of us just take their opinions wit...

The car in the picture looks great but I think it is a sprint car or dragster. Those big wide front wheels don't have much space for steering so I guess it mostly goes in straight lines. Whether you design yours like this will depend on your intended use. Is it just for show or do you want sporty ro...

I sympathise with you, there seem to be some very shabby employment practices going on at the moment. The difficulty on here will be that the Irish republic will have its own labour laws so most of us won't be able to advise you. The difficulty seems to be that if they have more than one person avai...
